How fast was this frecer going ffs ?.
According to BBC Wiltcestershire,somebody was airlifted to hospital . . must have been carnage :sherlock:

They had a minor one a few years back that was due to the track being damaged or the train being overloaded on one side or something, I forget. Hope no-one was seriously injured.

Leg fractures for the injured lady that was airlifted.

The previous one was 'operator error' which must mean overspeed or points fuckup or similar..

Pretty nasty thing to happen, particularly on a packed school holiday day though. Hopefully the women is on the mend and the fractures uncomplicated.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, that train does go at quite some pace.

Agree with that. It it good but pricey and the animal drive through enclosure gets busy on peak days (but you can always do that second..).

Oh and monkies are little bastards ;)

I'd definately recommend doing the house and other stuff in the morning and then the safari drive in the afternoon when it dies down.

Managed to intentionally get through the Monkey enclosure without one of them getting on my motor, much to the annoyance of the kids.

For my dad's 80th birthday we contacted Longleat and arranged for him to spend a day helping with the trains and riding the footplate with the driver.

They really made a fuss of him and he had a brilliant day.

Good set up down there.

The people who work at Longleat are great, or at least they were when I did a stint there a few years back. Actually gave a toss about the visitors and whether they had a good day or not. So many employees at places like that couldn't give a flying fig.
