Not confirmed it was actually shot down yet but reports are suggesting it was bought down by a surface to air missile. Either way, it has definitely crashed. The wife wants to go to NZ, I said only if she goes via the US, as too dodgy on the asia flight path, the normal route goes over a lot of the trouble spots.
