Title: Hereford United / Swindon Town Intrigue
Post by: Herefraud United on Friday, June 20, 2014, 12:05:06
Hi All, Hereford fan in peace...s,
I've been reading the Jed McCory/Agombar related posts on here, but there seem to be enough weird links to be worthy of a separate thread.

- Tommy Agombar's maiden interview: he genuinely said "As soon as I heard Swindon... I mean 'ereford woz for sale I fought 'Laarvely'"

- Agombar Jr. Swindon's undiscovered gem, now seen 'all day long' around Hereford, putting out cones, wearing a dodgy tracksuit, being an ugly little knobjockey telling fans that we should all be 'on our knees' with gratitude (and as you know, an alumni of Stephen Vaughan's Floriana, Steve 'the Spiv' King's Macclesfield Town, and so on, and so on).

- Andy 'Green Belt' Lonsdale* Bedfont & Feltham, due to play a pre-season friendly with Swindon Town

(he is the lardarse on this video:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=foh9aJeSPuA)

One mysterious ITK poster has claimed all along that this has been something to do with McCory / Power, but is now claiming that McCory has washed his hands of it, due to how messy it's got.

Anyway, I think it's worth keeping these weird links in check and sharing whatever info we've got.

While I'm at it, here's a link to the petition to the council not to hand over the leases to Agombar's 'holding company':
https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/herefordshire-county-council-reject-proposals-to-transfer-development-land-leases-from-hereford-united-to-mr-tommy-agombar

The more signatures we can get, the better.

Cheers & Best Wishes

One thing which came out of the above video and is something that Jedders banded about was this idea that they are buying clubs out of some form of altruistic philanthropy to save struggling clubs.

I know that Jed especially was an extremely deluded gentlemen, but do they honestly think that people buy this as a reason and not think its just a piss poor smokescreen?

I'm sure this is all totally above board - the less busybodies like you get involved, the more chance nice Mr. Agombar and his talented son have of taking your club forward. #roar

Im still amiss as to what Harry Agombar actully did and what was the point of signing him.

Which manager was in charge when we signed him?

Is Lee Power chummy with this lot or are the Seebeck linked 'advisers' on our board doing stuff like arranging the friendly with Bedfont & Feltham?

"Self sustainability" "sustain it's self" "I'm a football man" are all words Jed loved to use when here. In my honest opinion... the lot of them shouldn't really be allowed near clubs. Oh and he has an uncanny look similar to Jed... I think it's the nose.

Jed wasn't that happy with my response to his tweet about England last night.  Sent me a couple of DM's.  Apparently I should give him respect for what he did for STFC.

He then blocked me so I couldnt respond.

Less than a week until court.

Hopefully whatever happens allows the club to move on. Naivety eh.

Surely the oly reason for Agombar being taken on as a player was to siphon off a wage from the club

I'll sign it later.

But the OP is clearly a troll. Claiming to have seen  Agombar Jr; yeah right, was he playing poker with lord Lucan, Shergar, bigfoot and the loch ness monster?

He said something about having faith in England  I said

Have faith, I might have a club to support if a pair of cunts stop having a dick waving competition over it

To which he replied -

Very witty words Graeme but aimed at the wrong person you are far to quick to forget who stood up for you're club ..!..

I replied reasonably that I didnt see how he had stood up for the club and how it was affecting the future of the club

And he replied -

And how do you no I'm not sticking up for Stfc now ..!!.. So apology will be accepted later Until then show respect for what I did for Stfc

I didnt get a chance to tell him I would decide to show respect not be told to respect him as he blocked me.

Thank you all for taking the time to sign the petition.

We are now about 70 sigs away from 7000 - a number which would automatically trigger a full council debate, so if you haven't, please sign!

Link again to the petition: https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/herefordshire-county-council-reject-proposals-to-transfer-development-land-leases-from-hereford-united-to-mr-tommy-agombar

For those who signed the petition. I've just had an email to confirm that the Council have turned down Agombar so expect him to crawl back under his rock now with a bit of luck. I suspect he'll find our Jed already lurking under there already.

Doesn't make pretty reading. And far too many links into us for us to be comfortable with any of this.

Is Agombar still on our books?

Is he getting paid?

If so, how much.

And, most importantly of all, why?

Seems a question for Power this evening

In terms of "why" (assuming he is still on the books), isn't this likely to just be "Because Jed gave him a two-year contract"?

Seems to me that it was just a ruse in siphoning money out of the club.

He isn't a footballer at all.

Think it was more a "favour". As ruses to siphon money out of the club go, the old "paying yourself a massive consultancy fee" is far more effective.

Seems he was on a 1 year contract.

Before turning up at the CG he was, what a surprise, on the books of Floriana mentioned in the link above.

Appeared on the pitch for a matter of minutes at the club owned by Steve Vaughan who has fucked up a number of clubs.

Say what you like about Power but he would have to be a cunt of highest order to be worse than Jed and his dodgy associates
