Douse it in lighter fluid and set it on fire.

Leave your PS4/XBOX/whatever on all night

Do this, but the other way round. Unless you have a she-geek girlfriend she'll just assume the screen burn got too hot an cracked the glass.

Or man up and tell her your getting a new one regardless of what she says and she can go clothes shopping while you buy it

Is it broke?

Was even showing whilst watching the footy yesterday on a green background.

Is it easy to repair?

Looks more like image retention to me mate. Screen burn is very rare these days.

Non repairable?

Nope. Once it sets in that's it. It will get worse the higher you have the brightness and contrast set to.

Happens on plasma TV's when a static image like the Sky Sports news logo for example has been on for hours and hours.

Some TVs have a mode that displays random image, like static, that if you leave it on for 24 hours may remove/reduce minor screen burn.

Or I'm sure there are programs on the internet that do the same thing. Or just leave it on an untuned analog channel

But bad burn...no.

Tans has an older plasma which doesn't.

The thing batch is talking about is a scrolling bar.
