Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: Flashheart on Sunday, April 20, 2014, 00:27:52 Leave your PS4/XBOX/whatever on all night
Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: Batch on Sunday, April 20, 2014, 07:38:27 Do this, but the other way round. Unless you have a she-geek girlfriend she'll just assume the screen burn got too hot an cracked the glass.

Was even showing whilst watching the footy yesterday on a green background. Is it easy to repair? (http://i58.tinypic.com/124vts5.jpg) Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: Ralphy on Monday, May 5, 2014, 08:34:13 Looks more like image retention to me mate. Screen burn is very rare these days.
Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: tans on Monday, May 5, 2014, 08:37:16 Non repairable?
Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: Ralphy on Monday, May 5, 2014, 08:40:22 Nope. Once it sets in that's it. It will get worse the higher you have the brightness and contrast set to.
Happens on plasma TV's when a static image like the Sky Sports news logo for example has been on for hours and hours. Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: tans on Monday, May 5, 2014, 08:42:34 Fucking thing
Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: Batch on Monday, May 5, 2014, 08:51:11 Some TVs have a mode that displays random image, like static, that if you leave it on for 24 hours may remove/reduce minor screen burn.
Or I'm sure there are programs on the internet that do the same thing. Or just leave it on an untuned analog channel http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/why-do-images-get-burned-into-lcd-and-plasma-displays-and-how-you-can-fix-it/ But bad burn...no. Title: Re: Screen burn Post by: Ralphy on Monday, May 5, 2014, 08:55:52 Tans has an older plasma which doesn't.
The thing batch is talking about is a scrolling bar. |
