Title: Away colours
Post by: JanTheMan on Friday, April 4, 2014, 19:56:48
We've had most going. Since I've supported town there's been yellow, green, various shades of blue/blue and white/blue and black, black and red, all white and all black . Have we ever had an official away colour (appreciate not many teams do anymore)? I quite like the idea of sticking to a 2nd and 3rd strip. White, then yellow for me.

Nothing in yellow for me...for obvious reasons  :)

But I do agree with your idea.

Maybe black for a third strip instead.

Our home kit should always have a little bit of green in it.

My favourite away kit in recent years was the blue and white one during the Sturrock season I think.

I had one of those shirts, I loved it.

I say 'loved' in the past tense because, and despite my specific instructions not to, some thick cunt washed it on a hot wash.

Away colours were always blue, for the first I don't know how many years of watching....I quite liked the light blue/dark blue of a few years back.

Blue and black, black and red. As long as it has black in it I'm happy.

I like the idea of black & red in our away kit, but the potato print should be brought back.

Think this seasons away kit is nice. The blue 3rd kit in 09/10 playoff season was nice too.

The 11/12 black number is the best we've had for years.

I hate this year's offering, it looks cheap. The Boca one is my favourite of recent times.

White shirts black shorts as seen in the Macari area was a personal favourite as Wss the yellow and blue in the prem - although I am sure the mongs would claim it was like Oxford.

Yep, that and this season's are my favourites. This one reminds me of one of my first shirts which was the blue and black number from the 90's.

My first shirt was the white and red pinstriped one from 95ish.

I've not owned many Swindon shirts, my first away was the Premier League 'Brazil' effort.

My old man had the potato print though.

Red (and bit of white) home, blue (with a bit of anything but yellow) away. Easy. Black kits are for refs

My favourite of all time, been wearing it to 5-a-side for years although it getting a bit tight these days.

Loved the Boca Juniors lookalike from a couple of years back as well

Ideally, the 2nd kit colours should negate the need for a 3rd kit, and be co-ordinated enough to mix and match with the 1st kit, though it is not always possible, especially when you come up against teams like Palace.

Most coloured tops with black shorts and socks would do me. Never yellow as it is the colour of wee.

I'm wearing the black 11/12 away top now at work, all for chaaarity, mate.

That's the one I was talking about earlier....I'm not very good with colours, being red/green colour blind, and always thought it two shades of blue...which doesn't mean it is  :)

I donated my nationwide blue strip shirt to a football bar in Berlin. The owner was chuffed and said he was going to put it up on the wall .
