Who was rubbish or massively disappointed you the most over the season?

Harley - waste of space.

Went for Harley. Luongo has also fallen apart since the start of the season.

Yep, if you express this as the biggest gap between expectation and reality, there's no competition.

Harley is the flop.

I was disappointed in Mason's injury plagued Swindon career.

I've a hunch we'll be signing Mason permanently next season.

Went for Harley, but having left Posh on the opening day convinced we'd unearthed 'The Portuguese Pele' Reis is also a massive disappointment.

It is true I was drinking from fairly early on that day.

Sums up my thoughts too.

I would fucking hope not, not with his injury track record.

I'd be surprised if we sign Mason, given the stance on TAH.

Harley has shown the odd piece of brilliance, but on the whole has under performed when he's been involved, he gets my vote.

My expectancy of Harley wasn't that high but as a senior player they need to play to a particular standard which Harley hasn't managed to do.

I was very happy when we announced Mason's signing. Only hat-trick from a Swindon player this season and downhill from there (that Wolves goal too).

Harley has been the biggest flop, the biggest disappointment this season has been seeing Ward's performances decline though, the guy was rock solid last season.

A fit Mason may have been player of the season - he was a class above the rest at Wolves. Let's hope he's not the next Darren Anderton!

Curiously, Anderton played over 500 senior games over a long career. Not bad for a player with a reputation of being injured a lot.

Injuries mean that Mason won't make it in the big leagues. I'd still like to see more of him.

Ward for me.

I went for Tijane, based upon the hype that was around before he signed for us...was watched by West Ham, played for the Portugal U21 team etc etc then he gets injured and when he does play misses one of the worst penalties I have ever seen, then disappears again.

But Mason, Harley and Ward could easily be up there, Harley especially so.

Have to say I find it staggering that we apparently have so many flops, yet seem to have maintained a challenge at the right end of the table for so long. Surely with a squad so packed full of failures we should be battling against relegation ...

There are only 3 real experienced players in our squad, two of them have been dogshit- Harley and Ward. I didn't expect much from Harley but I did from Ward. Not only has he been poor but his leadership has been non existent and it has really been needed.

For Player of the year, I included players who had started 10 games or more in a bid to avoid people voting for players like Connor Waldon to be edgy and hilarious. For the flops/disappointments I included pretty much everyone as there's a wider range of reasons.

Although I would vote for Hall as being the player who has talent but seems to commit an inordinate number of howlers

There's nothing wrong with being 'disappointed' in a player.

I voted for Mason. I know he's a good footballer but I'm very disappointed that it's not worked out for him this season.

I've only seen 2 games this season, one in September (I think) and one a couple of weeks ago.

The Aussie lad was sublime in one and ridiculous in the other so I'm duty-bound to vote for him

Luongo for me. Harley has also been disappointing.

Ryan Harley gets my vote. Looks like someone who only gets a game because his Dad's the manager.

A toss up between Hartley and n'Guessen. Both were good early in the season and both looked half arsed and/or shit the rest of the time.

I'll say n'Guessen  because worryingly I think Harley was trying,  whereas danny boy seemed to be coasting.

Could not possibly vote for Ward...he stayed when he could have gone.  He gave us that experience which is irreplaceable this season.  That he has slowed down and not kept up the brilliant performances of last season is inevitable...the sadness is that the inexperience of the other central defenders meant that he was left exposed far too often.

Reis for me, the start of the season he looked good but since then he was a shadow of himself and now seems to have dissapeared

I'll be very surprised if Reis starts the 2014/15 season a Swindon Town player.

I think the 3 people who had expectations that Harry Agombar was actually going to deliver something should make themselves known to us so that they can be ridiculed mercilessly.

I am a big Luongo fan however he has been worse than Harley in recent months, after a decent start to the season.

Biggest disappointment? Not keeping Ranger fit for the full season.

Tied between Harley, Ward, and Hall... all could have been good, but were utterly forgettable.

Harley is dogshit but ive gone for Danny N'Guessan. Simply because he has been truly horrific since the start of December having promised a lot in the first 3 or 4 months.

Feel desperately sorry for Darren Ward.  He's been a committed, conscientious player who just happens to be reaching the end of his career.  He will know this as well as anyone else.  Certainly doesn't deserve to be up there in a poll like this one.

Did you really have high expectations for a player we signed from the Ryman League? Same can be applied to the people who vote for Reis, who we signed from the Portuguese 3rd division.

Harley for me,saw him at Exeter a few times and i thought we had a good signing when he arrived.
That said constant injuries havn't helped.

N`Guessan - looks the part - should have been sooo much better.

I thought about a few other players before casting my vote for Reis. Early appearances suggested he had some good touches and skills. The injury fucked him completely.

I imagine that that penalty miss hasn't helped him much either, I bet his confidence is shot.

I'm not sure this thread is going to help confidence of players that will be playing for the Town next season.

No one is getting on anyone's back. A thread on who's disappointed this season is hardly comparable with booing players at a game.
I'm sure any players who register for the forum won't be so thin skinned as to let our opinion affect them in any way.

How do you know that the games you choose won't be dire? Do you have a crystal ball?

Harley without doubt for me, as one of the older heads his lack of effort and bottling of challenges is unforgivable, as others mentioned he reminded me of Hewlett.

Chances are, they already know the opinions of the majority...mainly because of the audible groans etc.

In any case, I had high expectations for Ward, I thought he'd really come through as Captain...age aside, I still thought he'd be better than he has been and gets my vote.

Of all last season's players at risk of leaving, he was the one I most wanted to stay (closely followed by Alan McCormack). Unfortunately, it all went a bit Aljofree.

Me. I've only scored twice this season. One was an open goal begging to have it drilled home and the other turned out to be a massive own goal.

On too many occassions I've passed when I should have gone on to score.
