Jay Mac, been superb since the first month or so

Wes would be tempting on recent performances, however he's been poor by is high standards, up until he came back from injury. Pritchard will probably win it, but I'd also go for Kasim.

Tough one that. Went for Yas in the end, based on how influential he was in the opening months of the season. The fact that even when he has an average game, some people label him poor shows how much we've come to expect of him, IMO.

If there was a most improved category, then McEveley would win hands down.

I voted Kasim but Wes could easily win it but I think Pritchard probably will win it.

Jay Mac since Preston away has been amazing. Very consistent, wish we could keep him but I expect his wages will mean we can't.

Never been a huge fan of McEveley, but he has come on in leaps and bounds this season. Shame he's 29...

I'm going Wes simply because if it wasn't for him we'd have lost or drawn a hell of a lot more games. So great to have that lad between the sticks.

Yep, all emotion aside, no-one has been as consistently good as Wes all year.

difficult decision but Kasim for me. Classy classy performer.

The story of Kasim helped make my decision. Flopped pretty much everywhere else, thinking of quitting football etc

Came here on trial looking quite hefty (no thanks to one particular photo) and then went on to be a mainstay in the squad.

Kasim for me. Had zero expectations but some of his passing is sublime. He's not anywhere near as effectual at the moment but that may well be because of the differing formations, differing midfield partners, fitness and higher expectations.
He does need to cut out the backchat and silly niggly fouls though. 

Gone for Wes.

The one player who could easily fit into a PL side straight away.

Class act.

Pritchard strikes me as the one player who might cut it in the Championship.

Went for Big Yas Kasim.

When I saw a pic of him in pre season with a massive gut, I instantly thought "Why have we signed this fat bastard?!". He's been class all season and proved my initial thought completely wrong!

A fully focused Nile Ranger would have walked this award though.

Wes. Apart from his injury he has made some very important saves.

Have to agree with that.

Really difficult vote to make, because all those mentioned are worthy of it (and that shows that despite the downs, we have actually enjoyed quite a lot of the season).  I saw Yas K in the friendly against Birmingham and was pretty sure then that he was going to be a very important player for us; but in the end, it has to be Wes for me - not that he has done everything right, but in a defence which has been shaky most of the season, he has kept us there or thereabouts.

Wes or jmac. Think wes was more consistent. Kassim has been the best good surprise though.

Goalkeepers often win during shit seasons so it's interesting that Wes is a potential winner, not a bad thing at all.

Or maybe a reflection of how miserable some of our fans are? To hear some people talking, you'd think we'd had a calamitous season.

Yes it's been the worst never-in-any-danger-at-any-point season in our history. :)

I've been pleasantly surprised with the campaign but my lasting memory will probably be people talking of our pending doom when we were comfortable in 8th position.

Not been out of the top half since 4 games into the season even.

No room for complacency...we were in a bit of a slump, had we lost to your mob, and followed that up with losses in the next 3, we'd be presently behind Shitty,  4 points off Tranmere, who'd have a game in hand.  Thankfully the management recognised this, made adjustments in personnel and system...so we can enjoy a peaceful end to the season  :)

Well I guess everyone enjoyed a decent first 2/3 months of the season before the slump, Kasim or Luongo looked early front runners for this but I voted for Pritchard. Inconsistent yes but he hasn't had a prolonged slump in form like the others and has been by far our biggest threat throughout. Almost gave it to Kasim but he declined massively.

Jay-Mac for me, I think he's ace.

Yes, JayMac was my pick, too.  Simply because of his consistent 'up and at em' approach when others around him were dithering like virgins in a sex shop.

Jay for me too.  Been pleasantly surprised how many people on here have voted for him.  I'd got impression that he wasn't much liked by the fans.  No-one I watch with seems to rate him apart from me.

Ranger is by far our best player but that's not same as player of the year.

Interesting that people are voting Jay-Mac,  only game I saw was Preston away and the dog abuse he was getting in that game was dreadful.

Did anyone perform well that day?

A lot of our fans are morons. Jay was carrying an injury last season, which was common knowledge, but he still received a load of shit for his performances. This season we've seen the real McEveley.
He's our very own 'Psycho': fully committed and passionate.

Toss up between JayMac, Yasir and Wes for me. JMac has been class, Kasim is my favourite player to watch but I chose Wes as I feel he's been responsible for getting us the most points on the board this season.

McEveley for me as well.  We've missed him immensely in the games he was sidelined.

Wow, I'm confused. I've not been to many games this season so mainly rely on TEF to get an idea of how things are going.  I could have sworn that only a few weeks ago JMac was totally shit.* What happened???

*My personal opinion when I have seen him 'in the flesh' is that he's an absolutely rock solid pro.

I like mcevelys 'passion', but if you're looking for the player who has directly won us the most points it has to be wes by far

Fods for me,if Kasim had kept his early season form up maybe he would have got it.

I love JMac and would have voted for him if Wes hadn't been such an important player for us.

I think we can chalk up quite a few points gained this season thanks to Wes' input- he has made some massive saves. His reliability at the back has meant that the defence didn't have to panic when the ball came their way- they could concentrate on whet they had to do and make their decisions based on the fact that they knew Wes was behind them. That is why Wes gets my vote.

Yas was in my consderation also but not high enough.

Had he stayed the whole season, Ajose could have been up for this award, his goal return was pretty decent.

McEveley for me, I think he's been superb..apart from a couple of silly moments where he's seen red (literally).

I'd love him to be here again next season, but I doubt he will be..

On the basis that the player if the year is normally gone the next season I want to vote for Harley :)
