Title: Tranmere Away - Monday 29th August Bank Holiday
Post by: Ralphy on Tuesday, August 16, 2005, 16:48:20
Can't make Blackpool game but can make this for sure.

Who is going?

I don't mind driving a few there if there is somewhere safe to park.

Failing that, i could take my dad's Renault Scenic.

Not a bad area. Pretty much solid middle class area bearing in mind your on merseyside. Still get a few scallies hanging around, following you to the station, asking stupid questions in a stupid accent.

Pubs - never had a beer near the ground. Last season that was thanks to Virgin trains - grinds teeth, spits on floor http://67.18.37.16/525/186/emo/mad.gif . There is a pub just outside the away end, anyone been in? Also two near Rockferry station which both looked alright.

Tranmere has a zero reputation for organised style hooliganism, but they still seems to have a large number of arrests every season. There were a few getting very agitated in the County car park after the game last season, really gobbing off. To which they received 'fuck off you scouse cunts' from us South siders   . Merseyside does seem to have a football culture all of its own. Scousers are strangers to their own countrymen.

Good ground. Good away end. Beer available in the ground. Nice looking girls serving the pies (always seems to be on Merseyside! http://67.18.37.16/525/186/emo/nixweiss.gif).

Fingers crossed doing something for this one. Bank holiday so start on the lager 9am (or scrumpy   ).

Will arrange a pick up point with you nearer the time but more than likely be just off J3 M5, there is a BP Garage half a mile from the junction which would be best place to meet.

Thinking about it most of you dont speak proper but most just dont seem to have any accent apart from-

Spacey - Essex wide boy accent

actually thats the only one I can think of :D

Mex was on radio swindon once and someone thought it was Phil King so I imagine him to sound exactly like that, very very west country. :advercool:

I'm not very westcountry I can do welsh, australian maybe bangladeshi though, a lot of people think I have a cockney accent, but I don't I just drift into it sometimes, probably only sounds like cockney to yokels.

Anal penetration.  I've agreed to do overtime on Tuesday, 11-5pm.  I'll have to try and get out of that!  What time would you say I'd need to leave from Crawley to be at Tranmere for a 3pm kick-off?  Might save it for Walsall...  Not confident about the TRanmere game to be honest.

That leaves some drinking time, well for you anyway!

Looking at the map, the best way from Bampton looks to go to Burford and get on the A40 to Cheltenham and then join the M5.
