Title: Phil Spencer
Post by: fittons_coaching_badge on Thursday, September 6, 2012, 07:02:18
I know the guy is PDC's agent but he is at nigh on every game home and away and always sat with Jeremy Wray and Nick Watkins.

Does he have some sort of involvement beyond paolo? Maybe the players we get are from his 'stable' or something?

I just can't imagine a managers agent being such a regular at games.  Apologies if this has been discussed before?

This was a serious post you cunts!  Not a chance for you to express where you would like to shove your man pieces!!

We paid nigh on £500k in agents fees last year.  Is this cunt Spencer pocketing it all?

Only reason Id shove my 'man-piece' anywhere near her is to shut her up.  She is the Daily Mail.  With added soft furnishings.

No idea about the Phil Spencer agent chap Im afraid f_c_b.

£500K in agents fees aside, the real question is would you shove your "man piece" into Kirsty Allsop's lady garden?

(Edit: I had to Google Kirsty Allsop as I have no idea who she is. She's no Sarah Beeny)

It may be he just likes freeloading and doesn't really have anyone else on his books as high profile as Di Canio so he's lording it a bit while he can. In which case, not much harm done. Or at the other extreme, he could be like whassisface at Donny last season who was pretty much directing their entire transfer policy and (allegedly) had a massive say in selection for the team as well. Which would probably be a worry. Or it could be something in between. It's a reasonable question to ask fcb.

I have very little opinion on which, if any, home/garden improvement presenter I'd hypothetically like to slip one up in the extremely unlikely circumstance the opportunity presented itself. I'd probably make a swift exit in the case of Titchmarsh mind. Or that dickhead with the MDF. Or the one with the frilly shirts

We've already had the meltdown about 'agents running the club'.

Turned out that this simply was not the case and the signings that were recommended by agents were the ones that worked out.

Spencer white was the main protagonist. He's not about any more so somebody will have to fill in for him.

This should be referred to the leverson enquiry, talk about the abuse of power by the press

Doesn't he just act as the agent on the clubs behalf? That was my understanding of it.

As I understand it he is the one that the club uses to do all transfer business though, the player get's identified with the help of Phil Spencer's contacts, he makes contact with the club and then player has his 'chat' with Paolo and Wray & Spencer are involved in negotiations to sign the player agree fee and wages

Willie McKay.  Odious agent of the highest order.

Imagine if Sir Seton Wills had had taken advise from a third party who stood to make money from every decision he made..i'm sure we'd decide that was acceptable ..

As for presenters

Look no further than Amanda Lamb

She could sit on my face and fart

I checked her out and discovered she used to do the Scottish Widows ad.....not sure if there's been more than one, but did think she wouldn't be waiting too long for a replacement man if inclined....so a good pick.

Now that would justify an agents' fee!

Somehow doubt all the 500km goes to him. Players would have their own agents that need paying.

Back to the original point re: good relationship with Wray - this was probably one of the reasons PdC signed a contract extension.

I'm sure his real role is interpreter between our board and other agents, as none of our nicely brought up chaps speaks fluent Geezer.

Back to the original point re: good relationship with Wray - this was probably one of the reasons PdC signed a contract extension.
I don't actually think there are that many Chairmen around who could actually have a productive relationship with Di Canio. You can take out at least, say 30, just down to the fact that they would have no kind of budget for him to work with. You could then take out a good few more who he would last probably about 10 minutes with (Milan Mandric springs to mind). Of the ones left, I don't reckon many have the interpersonal skills of Jeremy Wray.

Errrr....what am I trying to day here? Just fair play to Jeremy Wray I think!
