Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: ChalkyWhiteIsGod on Saturday, May 12, 2012, 12:37:41 We've not played Preston in my life time. I'm looking forward to that one for sure. A random useless stat i always pull out about Swindon and Preston is that they are the two current league clubs that have gone the longest without playing each other (with neither dropping out of the league within that time) guess i'll have to find some more pointless shit to talk about Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: otanswell on Saturday, May 12, 2012, 13:04:01 Looking forward to :

I'm surprised no one has pulled you up on it if you're always pulling it out ;) Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: North West on Saturday, May 12, 2012, 14:50:32 Any game in the North West because it's in my neck of the woods. Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: Ardiles on Saturday, May 12, 2012, 20:39:47 I want Hartlepool first away game of the season Anything to avoid going there in autumn or winter. Nov 29th 2003 is etched in my memory as one of the coldest, bleakest afternoons in history. (Followed by a great night out in Newcastle, though, which made up for it.) Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: pericarp on Friday, June 29, 2012, 20:47:54 Dare you to have a look My Geography skills are poor and I thought someone who already had a slight clue could name a couple rather than me having to look at each of them on Google Maps. But I guess I'll have to do the latter, thanks DRS. Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: pericarp on Friday, June 29, 2012, 20:51:55 Brentford

Shame about the museum moving...I might have made the effort to go otherwise. It's an interesting fact that the first length of motorway built in Britain, was the Preston by-pass in 1958. It became incorporated into the M6. It's a bit strange being able to remember the country before motorways, and in the case of the M4 remember seeing it built. It's to do with which vehicles are permitted to use it (ie not bicycles & pedestrians) more than whether it has a central reservation etc.
Not that you would doubt Reg on anything like this, but this site does back him up. http://www.cbrd.co.uk/roadsfaq/#421 Edit: The same site provides the answer to NBR's question. http://www.cbrd.co.uk/roadsfaq/#411 Title: Re: Next Season away games Post by: 02hodgsol on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 23:34:07 How long is the flight?
