Easier said than done. I was at work all day monday, yesterday I tried for 2 hours and got to Number 1 at 4.55. I was still number 1 at 5.15 when I twigged the bastards had gone home and left it on a loop. all day at work today leaves me desperate to get wet saturday at 8.45 am in the phone queue again! I'm not holding out much hope

I cawnt go, depending on whether my mate takes my ST there might be a spare in the DRS

we are in the bank, is there many left as i have a few mates that want tickets

The Met Office forecast for Swindon on Saturday is DRY but cloudy!

Was some behind the goal left and some nearer the away bit of the arkells

I managed to get the last ticket in the DRS for a mate (about an hour ago).

There's still over half the bank left, but all three other stands sold out (bar the away end of course)

Three full stands and reasonably filled Stratton Bank is fine.

We didn't have this issue during our last promotion season because Walsall brought loads of fans.

It will sell out by about midday on match day, i'm sure of it.

I have a spare season ticket for the DRS which is a concession which was going free. I tried to pay the extra to "upgrade" it to an adult ticket to bring a neighbour who has recently moved here, and the ticket office wouldn't do it and wanted to charge a full £25.

The result, the loss of a potential new fan as my neighbour said "fuck off", one empty seat in the DRS, and lost revenue for the club.

Just when I hought the club were starting to be a bit sensible behind the scenes...

I'm not sure they'd check if an adult went in with a kids ticket... i think all that happens in the turnstile is it beeps if it's valid, then the fella just presses the release button.

I've often thought about this, it doesn't make a different noise when it's a concession/child ticket does it?

My concession one makes the same noise as a full paying adult

Surely it pops on their screen what sort of ticket it was.

Get your mate to use the concession ticket, he will get in fine with it.  My mates have used my dads concession at times and never been pulled up on it.

Pretty sure a light flashes green but also has another coloured flash if its a concession.

It does, green and amber/yellow. Whether they are watching is another matter...

I go in using a student ticket and it flashes orange too I think.

Does anyone know anyone willing to swap the Bank adult ticket I have bought for a DRS adult ticket ?

A friend decided at the last minute he wanted to go so I have booked him a ticket but as we are already in the DRS it would be better if he can be in same stand, even if not in same section (which is Block DD)

11,711 sold so far according to twitter.  Only tickets on the bank left, port vale not using all their allocation.  No surprise there.

Interesting that they average following at Swindon this season is 516, which would put us third in the average number of visiting fans.

Much as we all agree that £25 it's too much, maybe the board didn't get it as wrong as we think

Would have to analyse numbers more carefully to say for sure, but perhaps having a large capacity for away fans helps? Oxford and Rovers brought a fair number that wouldn't fit into smaller grounds. And tinpot teams who give us tiny allocations (Wimbledon, Cheltenham, Oxford) see their figure reduced as they have to turn fans away.

I don't think they'll close the turnstiles personally. I think it's just a ploy to get everyone in as early as possible to add to the atmosphere.

When picking up my tickets on Wednesday there were a massive amounts of tickets to be picked up...lets hope next it is like that next season every match.

It would make sense once the bank is sold out for the club to sell the bottom section of the Arkell's away section to home fans if that's the case. Shift Vale up a few rows for segregation, entry for home fans through the bank turnstiles, bobs your uncle, fannys your aunt.

300 is quite a bit more than 120. Even 250 is more than double.
