Title: This Time.
Post by: leefer on Sunday, March 18, 2012, 10:01:23
Next week all being well a sea of red and white will be arriving at the hallowed place known as Wembley....thousands of Paolo's followers hoping for a great day and hopefully the weather will be kind also.
The Green man is my destination and a few hours of manic merriment will ensue, lets hope on the back of three points v The Gills on tuesday.
I hope whatever you are doing for the day you enjoy it.
Should be a proud day for the Town so lets enjoy it...UP THE TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gulls, it's Gulls.

They're very close to the sea, maybe they're not fully evolved?

Both times I've been to the green man I've been pretty pissed and can't even remember where it is, going to be sober-ish this time but can't remember what side of the stadium its on ? If anyone would like to remind me I'll buy them a pint when I get there.  :pint:

Have we been allocated pubs this time?

Think it might be West but beer and directions don't mix for me.

Just looked at their website to see the location and it is indeed West.
However, do you think someone should tell them that the JPT "event" which they have listed is next week and not 3rd April?  ???

They know, that's last years final date I think. Website is outdated.

Green man is definitely allocated to us.

Ah right, thanks. It's just that the previous two dates listed are this year's dates which got me thinking.
Didn't want them to be surprised next Sunday when we all rolled in!!  :D

This time next week we could be off top spot.

Massively important game on Tuesday before we start thinking of Wembley.

With 30,000 Swindon fans in Town that would be a truly stupid idea.

Yeah, but Eric took the townend on his own.  Him and 5 mates can take wembley on their own.

The Green Man was too busy for me last time so I'll be standing outside the Tesco at the bottom of the hill, that's where it's at

Will attempt to head to The Green Man - expect it to be rammed though.
Anyone know how long it takes to get there from Wembley Stadium station?

My thoughts exactly, I know a lot of the older "lads" and they are all coming out for the day out at Wembley too and they certainly won't stand for any attempted sillyness from a handful of Pox fans.

They post it on their forums knowing full well that Swindon fans will be reading it to try and put the an element of fear into the minds of some of our more vulnerable fans.

Exactly, doubt they could scrape up the train fare between them anyway, unless Eric fires up the kiddy cathcher transit for the day, then we may be in bother

Eric will probably be there, he could use his free bus pass to get there, and the kids will only be on the lemonade.  Cheap day!
