watched a few youtube clips and he reminds me of ex-Huddersfield striker Clyde Wijnhard! remember him?

On a lighter note - Akinfatbastard scored 2 early goals last night for the Cobblers.
Unfortunately he is their only real threat up front however cannot play a full 90 minutes.
He does look slimmer though than earlier in the season.

We finally sign the big man!

Got a lot of time for Akinfenwa what with fighting against his size and the really bad leg break he had. Read a good article by him not so long ago where he said how proud he was this season when he scored his 100th goal as this really answered the people at school and others when he left who said he would never make a footballer because of his size. Bet you don't hear many supporters from clubs he has played for moan about him! Look at some of the goals he scored for Swansea.

Listening to his interview on BBC RS just now, doesn't sound too happy at Orient. He joked about hopefully doing well here, signing for us for a year, then going and scoring a couple past Orient! Let's hope he makes that kind of impact for us.

Yeah he did alright. He's got a week to get into a bit better shape and if he gets a chance vs Crewe hopefully he'll show a bit more.

Ok.  Since the match yesterday I have mostly been getting pissed and then recovering from being pissed so haven't read through what's been said.  Fair enough.  Id hate to say something original.

At least he's been given half an hour. I was worried he was going to be judged too quickly.

He's going to be fighting a losing battle, everyone loves Connell apart from it seems, the manager. So if he's here to take his place people are going to have reservations.

From seeing his short debut he looks quick and has a decent touch. He didn't seems to know where any of our players were for lay offs etc, but that will come in time, he will certainly add something different, more muscle and power perhaps. Not sure whether Benson would be his ideal foil, but time will tell.

It is really harsh to judge him after playing for 30 mins and being here less than a week, but I'd prefer Connell to play - so there!  :nerner:

I thought he did alright last night when he came on.  He was definitely short of match fitness when he joined us but he's starting to get a better understanding of the team and the way we play. 

Put himself about that's for sure.

Looked half handy... might be a good impact sub when defenders are knackered and he can bully them about.

He was orients highest paid player ot 3 grand a week. After a bright start he spent the lions share of his time on the treatment table and then slagged them off!. Me guess is he is no more than a lump of meat with eyes and Alan Connell is worth 20 of him.

So if Paolo publically said that he will not play Tehoue again (most probably) and it was a technical decision, saying that he is not as good as he thought he was and he has other strikers available.. Why don't we send him back? Orient won't take him back again, and is happy to let Swindon pay a share of his wages? Bizarre.

Leyton Orient couldn't bring in Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Adam Reed unless they offloaded players. They take him back and their finances take a hit.

Orient are dropping significantly at the moment. I wonder who Scott Cuthbert will join if they get sucked in and get relegated?

It'll be poetic justice to overtake Cuthbert on our way up as Orient go down. Always thought that was a bizarre move from him.

No it wasn't. They are in a higher league, and he had no idea of knowing how our season would have panned out.

We don't know about the money, but from a footballing side of things it's Orient all the way. Regardless, I thought Di Canio didn't rate his attitude, and that's why he didn't sign

Orient would not have been the only option available to him. A player like Cuthbert available on a freeby would have seen interest from other clubs aside from Orient.

Cuthbert is one of those players from the last few years who I can't really recall anything about.

Its academic anyway, he was great in the first season, hopeless in the second. An accolade that could go to many of our players last year.

SCOTT Cuthbert today joined Alan Sheehan in completing moves away from Swindon, with the defender joining League One side Leyton Orient.

Sheehan earlier came through a medical at Notts County before signing a two-year deal at the club.

Cuthbert's initial contract expired this summer, with the club opting not to take up the option to extend his stay by a further year.

"I'm absolutely delighted to have signed for Orient. As soon as I heard about the interest in me I was keen to come down here and get things sorted," said the Scot.

"It's a great club that wants to move forward and I want to be a part of that."

Fair enough, he probably jumped at the opportunity to go to Orient but I never had a problem with him leaving. The others - Prutton, Rose, Sheehan and Douglas especially, were utter tossers.

I dare say that there won't be many people beyond Bob Mills who craved a move to Orient more than Cuthbert :)
