I've been given the task (yes by the misses!) of finding a new wirelesss adapter for my girlfriend. I'm not up to scratch with this... Her bedroom and computer is upstairs and the router downstairs and the wireless adapter is crap at the moment. Few questions... Is there a stronger adapter that can used for a consistent connection? Will any type of adapter work with any ISP? Are there any decent adapters that are better than others? 1) It's a talktalk router. Would there be specific model? 2) Desktop is being used upstairs 3) Wireless adapter doesn't detect the internet consistently. 10 minutes here and there. In my experience the netgear wi-fi cards have been unreliable.
