A friend of mine sent hers back and paid £150 via the shop where she bought it from.

I've had it just under two years so don't think it's worth the £150 to get it replaced. I can still see everything on the display screen but it's just annoying having the spider web effect across the whole of the glass.

I'm sure you can get kits from ebay for less than a tenner.

If its anything like the Samsung Galaxy then its a fucking arse pain, you need the screen, about £20 on ebay then you have to remove the old screen totally which is a real pain and then you need to replace the screen with putting it in the oven (ok not an oven but its similar to an oven/microwave) to melt the adhesive to stick it on safely.

You can do it without the cook method but it will never stick that well again.

Its possible to do it yourself but in all honesty I have done one and wont ever do another.

Claim on the insurance, much easier.

My missus did hers and we took it to the Apple Store in Brizzle - they did it in 10 minutes while we waited and it was around £140

A lot of dosh but good as new after....

If you can still see the screen below the cracks then it's not the LCD that has broken, it's the digitizer. Make sure you buy the right thing.

Pretty certain you can get replacement screen kits on eBay that include everything you need - the screen and the tools.

Worth seeing if there is a phone stall at your local market that does repairs.

I got mine done this way and it cost about £30, took him 20 mins to do.

They're good people and small run firm, you can always just send them a £10 and they'll tell you whats needs doing to get it up and running

Mate of mine used these people after buying one of those kits off ebay and realising that doing it yourself would probably cause more harm than good. He speaks very highly of them.

Hurrah! I've changed the LCD screen and glass front for £15 - not as hard as it looks to be honest!
