Title: T Mobile/Orange
Post by: donkey on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, 14:22:43
Once again to the TEF for a question.  Yes, I have tried contacting T Mobile, but they're register option to the forums on their website doesn't work, and they've not responded to my using twitter - so here I am.

I recently registered for the Orange/T Mobile roaming jobby, and got the confirmation text.  However, as the T Mobile signal is weak where I am, I thought it would find Orange automatically (my phone is set up to data roaming, and auto detect), but it doesn't.

If I choose Orange manually from the list of network providers will I be charged?  Is it free?

All help gratefully received.

If you are an Orange customer you should automatically pick up a T-Mobile signal (2G only) if you are in a weak Orange signal area.

If you are a T-Mobile customer you should automatically pick up an Orange signal (2G only) if you are in a weak T-Mobile signal area.

BOTH networks should be able to use each others 3G signal soon.

BOTH networks will also be able to use the 3 network signal in a three way network agreement in approx 6 months.

Cheers for the info.  The auto pick up doesn't work, but manually setting does.  Fine by me.
