I'm on payg, and am looking at the iphone 4. Any recommendations on tarriff? I see you can get the phone on orange for £119 with a £35pm for 24 months. 400 mins, unlimited texts, 750mb data which will suit me just fine. Are Orange any good? My 3yr old o2 one went (to Huddersfield..) for £219 last week. Might help if you need to pay a lump up front for the new one to get a lower p/m tarriff.

I'm on Orange. Don't know about coverage in your area, in general it's good. But lately they have improved the signal by sharing reception with T-Mobile. For years I've had shite reception at home, but it's much improved now. If your phone drops out of signal or down to 1 bar with Orange, it scouts (automatically) for T-Mobile signal and more often than not finds it. Title: Re: To buy or not to buy? Post by: Luci on Sunday, January 2, 2011, 16:10:12 Carphone warehouse gave me over 150 quid back for my iphone 3G so make sure you get the cash back as that will go some way toward a new phone whatever you get (thats not actually committing to taking out a new contract or anything with them either).

It's def 24 months... That I can remember with 600 mins, unlimited texts and 500mb browsing. Not sure if I paid for the phone or not though, I'll check! The iPhone 4 32Gb is £299 on a 12 month tariff at £35 (750 minutes and 1Gb data I think). Cheaper for the 16Gb. They have a 24 month unlimitted minutes tariff as well, I think - with a cheaper upfront payment. You should get most of the upfront payment back after 12 months if you sell it on eBay. Tesco uses the O2 network. |
