The bottom of the OS article says the FA TV fee is £72,000 per club. Am i just being the usual retarded me or do we get £72,000 for playing Crawley Town - the rest of the conference will hate them getting more money.

You are correct both sides get £72k, but Crawley will need it to pay off their debts which they are building up due to 'Project Promotion'.

Swear Crawley's only two hours away at the most, near Gatwick isn't it.

I'll still be going. Could probably still blag a junior and at £8 for the terrace i'm more than up for it! Knew finishing college early on fridays would come in handy.

That could be right on both counts. Friday afternoon/ night is chaos normally. Best way to go using major routes would be M4, A329M, A322, M3, M25 and then M23. If you left around 3 you'd be there around 5.30-6 any later would be trouble.

For purely selfish reasons, I'm delighted it's on the Friday. I couldn't make the Saturday but now I'll be able to go!

It is a bit of a crap decision for all those who have to work Friday afternoon in Swindon though.

if you want to avoid m25 go straight on from bagshot and hit guildford then horsham crawley is ten minutes from horsham.

you get a clear run its 1 hour 35 minutes from swindon.

Good shout...a lot of fucking around but will be quicker on a Friday night.....i travel to Southwater most Fridays(nr Horsham) and the motorway is madness.

Yeah that's wrong, if you're coming from swindon. as mex said on a good run it's no more than 2 hours.

And the best way to go is m4,m25,m23.it's so easy, although mex's alternative route is the best option to avoid the 25 if you really feel you need to but personally have never found it worthwhile.

I'll never understand blue line drivers!  Sutton's route via Bracknell is quicker and shorter.  Wins every time.

Bracknell/M3 for me too. 1 hour 45 if the traffics being nice.

bracknell is quicker in day, after  10 at night its quicker to m4 m25 m23, trust me i have done it hundreds of times and timed it :)

The reason for the rather over-engineered free-flow junction at J10 on the M4 is that the A329(M) was originally intended to carry on further to the south east past Wokingham and roughly along the alignment of the A322 to meet with the M3 at Bagshot.  And then, to carry on further still, passing to the north of Woking to meet with the M25 in the West Byfleet area.

Of course, it will never happen now.  The road would pass through some of the most expensive real estate in the country and it would never get permission.  But if it had, the journey to Crawley would have been a lot simpler and more direct.

Never underestimate the M25 and M23 on a Friday afternoon/evening. On the way back it will be fine though. If anyone wants a couple of beers leave at  3.30 latest. Ps parkings a bitch at the ground also so allow time to find somewhere also.

Having got my ticket for the game today I was told you haven't been given an allocation of 1500.  You'll get to half way on our North Terrace and 112 seats.  That should be around 1050/1100 total.

I was then told there will then be a segregation area with Crawley fans taking having a third of the North Terrace to the right of the goal up to the corner.

Still saying 1500 on our O/S. Think i may pre order just in case, but pretty sure 1100 will be enough if it has changed.
