Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Langers on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 19:37:42 I reckon Coventry will do 'em.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Batch on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 19:40:27 Also Sheep Shaggers (no offence Si Pie) v Slave Traders on S4C (sky channel 134).
You do get the Welsh language twaddle, but the interviews are in English :) Hopefully John Hartson (studio guest) can't speak Welsh either. edit: Hartson can indeed talk Welsh. Booooo. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Summerof69 on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 19:42:38 Or you can watch the Slave Traders take on Cardiff in a Welsh derby here :

Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 20:13:52 I know the weather is shit and the game is on the tv but how sad it is to see so many empty seats at Football matches these days.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Doore on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 21:38:49 Pompy equalise in last minute. Own goal. Completely undeserved. Still, I get an extra half hour of football. Which is good.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 21:52:35 nonsense own goal!
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 22:05:34 Also Sheep Shaggers (no offence Si Pie) v Slave Traders on S4C (sky channel 134). You do get the Welsh language twaddle, but the interviews are in English :) Hopefully John Hartson (studio guest) can't speak Welsh either. edit: Hartson can indeed talk Welsh. Booooo. I shag Whales. Get it right. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Doore on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, 22:23:57 And Pompy get the winner after 30 mins and 30 secs of ET. Weird game, football. Coventry lead for an hour. Pompy for about 10 seconds.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Spencer_White on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 15:24:27 I know the weather is shit and the game is on the tv but how sad it is to see so many empty seats at Football matches these days. The grounds are too big. If Coventry had stayed at Highfield road that game would have still had a decent atmosphere. To be fair, I think everyones fed up with the cold. That extra 30 minutes in the cold last night must have been torture for everyone involved. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 21:36:22 Plenty of empty seats at Liverpool tonight. Also, Newcastle managed less than 16,000 tonight. It's cold though and it is Plymouth - that'll only attract the hardcore!
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Doore on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 21:37:28 Plenty of empty seats at Liverpool tonight. Also, Newcastle managed less than 16,000 tonight. It's cold though and it is Plymouth - that'll only attract the hardcore! I thought the self-appointed "best fans in the world" would sell out any game. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: adje on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 21:54:17 I thought the self-appointed "best fans in the world" would sell out any game. Agreed-one of the biggest myths in football, that. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: DiV on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 21:58:39 Yeah, they are only averaging 42,886 this season - poor support.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Rich Pullen on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 21:59:06 Ah Newcastle fans are alright. Just hyper.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: adje on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:00:06 Yeah, they are only averaging 42,886 this season - poor support. sing when they're winning Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: DiV on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:04:37 yeah, last season when they werent winning they only averaged 47,749 the 3rd highest in the premier league.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Doore on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:34:32 yeah, last season when they werent winning they only averaged 47,749 the 3rd highest in the premier league. Do you know these things off the top of your head? I bet you're really fun at parties. I'm not denying their support is pretty good - but you would have thought the best fans in the world would have turned up in greater numbers. Unless the full title is "best fans in the world, unless its cold, or its only Plymouth, or if something else gets in the way". Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: DiV on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:44:26 I'm the life and soul.
Newcastle not having brilliant support is as much a myth as them having the best support. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: donkey on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:46:47 I think Newcastle have some support.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Nemo on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:47:14 I think Newcastle have some support. This is a myth, there's actually no such thing as Newcastle. Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: adje on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 22:51:43 Its quality not quantity-thats what my missus says anyway.
Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: donkey on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 23:00:41 This is a myth, there's actually no such thing as Newcastle. :D A mate, from the North East, says that about Wolverhampton. He's even been there twice. ::) Title: Re: Coventry v Portsmouth Post by: Spencer_White on Thursday, January 14, 2010, 12:50:13 Yeah, they are only averaging 42,886 this season - poor support. The barcode clones are obsessed with losing their season tickets. Home League support - brilliant. Support in Cup competitions - mediocre. Away support - very good. |
