I've been on a roll of getting pissed, and lack of sleep, it's starting to take its toll.

It is Saturday night though...so some sort of gentle beerage and football banter should be taken.

I wrote off Headingley after the first hour yesterday....thought the football might provide a distraction.

I'm going to sit around and use my anger to smash stuff up.

There's something extra annoying about a result like this...I've enjoyed the close season, and would have quite happily carried on doing so for a couple of more weeks at least.

I fully expected to lose 1 or 2 nil, and could have quite easily rationalised it away....but this  >:(

Tonight I shall be getting pissed. I will drink some nice cold Old English and move on to the wine around 9 ish. Just had cod n chips from York Road - lovely. A nice bit of strong cheddar and roquesfort later with the wine.
Girls Aloud are on the telly later, so volume down and oggle at 4 of them - not the ginger one. If I catch the neghbour I'll rip the piss out of him.
In the background to all of this I shall be real fucked off. Had to work today - just doing about 50-60 hoursa a week now, down from 70. We have been fucking dogshit at the cricket and got a good beating from the squirrel eaters.
I will then get up tomorrow with a hangover, take the kids out somewhere nice and convice myself that our boys can bat out 3 days and that the 5-0 drubbing was a one off and that we're mid table fodder.

The Captain of Espanyol Daniel Jarque's been found dead according to Marca and a few sites like that. 26 years old. Seen him play on the box a few times and he looked very good. RIP.

Not the best of days really.

Exactly. I can't say I've been this fucked off by a result before. But then I didn't witness the Forest 7-1, but saw this first hand.

I went to a party after getting back from Pikeyland, however I'm not feeling it if I'm honest. Going to have a shower I think and see the full extent of the burn, additional to my neck and forearms I see my nose has gone a little pink too.

I went to a bbq and drank lots of beer and wine. Came home drank more wine and posted some bolloks. Then drank more wine and managed to beat my mate at chess. Possibly my biggest achievement of the year.

Didn't you ask if it was ok to go outside and you'd be back in shortly? Usually they give you five minutes or so.

Having to be escorted in and quickly out again by a bouncer to collect my cardigan was the final straw!

I had a mint Saturday. Worked 12-6, took my weeks wages out the till, walked round the other side of the bar and handed them all back over the course of the next 6 hours. Then went clubbing. Abused the wife, she went home early, so met the boys and got right on it. Superb. Forgot we were playing till about 9pm Sat night.... first day of the season at Gills. I fear my love of STFC may be drawing to a close, stupid uni. Better get to some games soon.

Hell yes!  I managed to walk there in high shoes which was a bonus!

On another note re the Espanyol player, the hotel we stayed in in Barcelona was close to their brand new stadium and before the game the squad was in there as apparently they use it to concentrate and get in the zone before games!  I'm pretty sure he played against Liverpool that night too.   Scary how young he was.  We went to get tickets for Liverpool V Espanyol as thought it would cheap as it was a friendly however wanted 80 Euros each - 60 Euros each but not sitting together so we decided to ditch that idea!

Nice new stadium mind, might try post some pics when I can

Its the one they built for the Olympics that Espanyol play at isn't it? Pretty bog standard bowl shape if I remember rightly from the bus tour?
