Just watched playbacks of both goal and was surpised by just how similar they were.  The strike against Fenerbace was classed as a "wonder goal" but written off by many "because it was a friendly and he wouldn't get the same opportunity in a league game"

Well, in my view, the Walsall goal beats the Fenerbace goal hands down due the fact that against Fenerbace Coxy allowed the ball to bounce before lobbing the keeper...  For me this is a the best ever county ground strike and proves that Coxy's goal against Fenerbace wasn't a 'one hit wonder' !

It probably isn't though is it? I'd need to look at all the goals ever to make judgement... How do we know there wasn't such a goal in 1921? We don't ;)

Hasn't this discussion been done? Anywho, In recent times, Rory Fallon chested the ball perfectly to score an overhead kick from outside the area - that ranks higher than the Cox effort in my book.

I prefer slick, 20-30 passes in a move goals anyway :)
