Performance squad is interesting:

TT Bresnan (Yorkshire), M Davies (Durham), SM Davies (wkt, Worcestershire), JL Denly (Kent), RH Joseph (Kent), RWT Key (Kent) A Khan (Kent), SI Mahmood (Lancashire), DJ Malan (Middlesex), EJG Morgan (Middlesex), SC Moore (Worcestershire), LJ Plunkett (Durham), A Rashid (Yorkshire), OP Rayner (Sussex), IJL Trott (Warwickshire)

SM Davies has been a bit of a brute with the bat of late.

I'm also being told that JL Denly has more ducks this season than anyone else in first class cricket (8).

I'd imagine Prior will start Fatters. Good enough sqaud, although I'd have Foster in for Ambrose. Shame to see no Trego in the Lions, thought he might have got in.

This ODI series starts tomorrow at 3.30 am.Don't fancy our chances against them much considering the defeat against the part timers and the fact they have just defeated the Aussies.
Oh well.

Looking forward to this, for better or worse, India is now the powerhouse of world cricket.  But it's a sign of things to come that they consider England only worth 2 tests....

Two tests is a waste of time.Three is bad enough, but two is shocking!

TMS for me in the morning.Seems as if Geoffrey Boycott is part of the team again,ACE.I love it when Aggers winds him oop ;D

I thought I'd watch a bit of this on getting up....saw the score and turned it off.

One sided ODI's are a bit boring.

Are there 7 of these bloody ODI's?

Yes, due to the fact that the Indian public only bother turning up to ODI's.

7-0 it is then.

If we can bat first and get a decent total,we can win a couple i reckon.

Gone a bit better in Indore today.India made 292-9.

Doubt we'll get it but least its a bit more achievable a target than the other day.

We've made a bad start already with Bell run out in the first over! At least Prior and Shah are now

showing some form with the bat.Yuvraj certainly likes our bowling with a second successive ton.

At first I was looking forward to this, as I'd got it mistakenly in my head that it was pm rather than am.

I'm now glad it at some unearthly hour, as I can ignore it,  7-0 looks a distinct possibility.

Well done to Broad..he should be in every match now....can someone tell me how you expect an opener to bat his best when hes been behind the stumps for 4 hours.....complete joke,oh and Shah is a good batsmen...at number 6 perhaps.

Well he's got the licence to go and have a bit of a swing, if it comes off great, but in theory there are plaenty of other batsmen if it doesn't.

4 hours of concentrated work....poor dear if that wears him out...how many hiurs does the tacho let you drive?

You cant belittle the fact that having to go into bat straight after spending for hours concentrating in the searing heat will have a negative effect on your batting

Why oh why is Ravi Bopara batting at number 8 and not bowling?

Yes, you've only got to look at Adam Gilchrist to see that.

prior's problem isn't that he has just kept, it's that he's not good enough to open in one-dayers, and never has been. he should be batting at 7/8

What a joke...bad light gets the match abandoned,4 floodlights...why cant they switch them on!
No wonder people dont get interested in cricket with this kind of thing going on.
India win on a faster scoring rate.

Agreed - this is the first match of the three we looked like we might have had a vague chance of winning. Pants.

They should be on the next plane home. The suggestion that the two tests can go ahead after whats happened in Mumbai is laughable.
