Title: Nathan Thompson Post by: @MacPhlea on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, 06:32:13 Thought the lad played well last night at right back (3) - collected the ball well, played out of defence confidently and never looked under pressure. Good back up for Jack Smith.

Title: Re: Nathan Thompson Post by: JPC82 on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, 08:00:26 Danny Wallington is another to look out for this season in the youth team, couple of years ago had the likes of man utd after him until a serious knee injury kept him out for a year or so, last season was his first season after the injury
Title: Re: Nathan Thompson Post by: suttonred on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, 08:01:58 Wondered why i hadn't heard his name recently, saw him a couple of times last year and he looked decent and was surprised he wasn't one of the 9 offered contracts, the knee injury would explain that.

No-one really rated Nathan that much and couldn't understand how he ended up at Swindon. But that day he did play more right side of midfield than right back and he looked very comfortable there too. Hopefully he will learn from having ex-international fullbacks Bodin and MM at the club. |
