Vladimir Romanov is the owner - Roman Romanov is the chairman.

So to answer your question - Yes.

Loads of east european managers have been linked to the job, none of whom i've
ever heard of,so their choice seems to fit the bill.

Quality appointment, I'm sure the former Ugandan team manager has a fantastic knowledge of the SPL.  Where does Romanov get his ideas from?

Hearts fans must be over the moon at this news.

If Idie Amin ran a football club, you could imagine it looking a bit like what Hearts looks like at the moment.

On the other side of Town, Hibs had a terrible result yesterday.

Dumped out 4-0. I know the Swedes were in the middle of their season, but still. Scots teams need to win games like that if they want to keep their European places.

I Have almost lost all interest in Hearts these days. Becoming a joke of a club since I left Scotland!!

At least Hibs continued their miserable run of European form yesterday, you can always rely on them!!

BBC News said Hibs looked a tired side. I guess when you play your first pre-season game against a team half way through a season, whoever it is, you are going to struggle.

Yeah, but you wouldnt see Everton or Spurs or even Bolton loosing a game like that.

They werent ready? 4-0? To a Swedish summer league side?

Fucking hell Spence the turnover of Everton or Spurs compared to Hibs and Hearts is huge!!!  In fact these days there is no comparison.

And I agree with Bob, Hibs first match of preseason v Swdish side halfway through their season is a tough one to win.

But Bob just said they would struggle whoever it was which isnt true.

So whats the better excuse? Turn over or it being pre season?

4-0 shit result end of.

Bolton lost in Europe to Sporting Lisbon who got beat by an absolutely woeful Rangers team, results happen. Hibs had an uphill task and I don't think Swedish league football is that bad, compared to say Iceland or Faroe Islands or other teams Hibs could have drawn.

Hibs are rubbish though, Hearts are the team to watch in Capital City now!!

IF Elfsborg are quite decent - Yes they've got rubbish players like James Keene but they got plenty of experience in Anders Svensson & Teddy Lucic. Not forgetting former Championship Manager bargain Stefan Ishizaki!

Hibs are pretty rubbish - with the likes of Yves Makabu Ma-Kalambay, Clayton Donaldon & ex-Grimsby Rob Jones in your ranks you're not going to progress.

Just dissapointed Hibs didnt do it. All boils back to Old Firm raping their own league.

But woeful!!?? Slayed some big sides last season.

Hibs didn't actually get beat 4-0 though, they lost 2-0 twice.  No excuses, as Bob says Hibs are pretty poor at the moment, that's what happens when you raise decent youngsters and have to sell them year after year.  Hibs just can't compete, unfortunately, I'd probably opt for the money rather than the start of the pre season excuse though.

I disagree with Bob too, as I don't really think hearts are worth watching either.  It's a sad state of affairs in the capital right now.

My comment re Hearts was very tongue in cheek, Hearts are an ongoing joke but hopefully if this new manager can get some stability and more than about 3 months in the job then it may be a good season. He has already stated he wants to keep the young talent like Driver and Berra and bring them onto a game so hopefully that'll mean less of the mince Lithuanian's constantly coming in on loan.
