whilst, we all know you dont rate Monkhouse, surely we need him as another number.

According to the Adver there is fitness doubts over Evans, Zaaboub & Weston for todays game. If all 3 are out, then just who do we play in the middle of the park with Timlin?

same as, millom my boy! sturrock seems to like fast wingers, and monkhouse is positively glacial when moving up the pitch. seems to prefer regular football than fighting for his place.

Sturrock was talking about making decisions on 3 players STFC futures in the next few days. At a guess, that'd be CCP, Brownlie and Monkey....

Hartlepool site says the loan was extended for a month, I think this is just a formality and a fee has been agreed. A month would be mid January. Monkhouse is as good as gone.

Can't Monkhouse play on the right as well though, surely more consistent than Roberts

I think he's gone though otherwise there would be no point extending his loan, probably don't want to come back and fight forhis place when he will walk in to H'Pool's team.

Should make sure he is not allowed to play against us though when they complete the transfer.

Roberts has scored seven in has last 8 starts. He has had about 4 assists aswell did you see his cross yesterday?.he has probably been the most consistent player we have had for the last 10 games ffs

some people really need to have a think sometimes,i even thought peacock played fuckin quality yesterday and fair play to him

How many of Roberts goals have been penalty's ?

Yes Roberts put over a good cross for Lucas' goal but how mant times did he fail to get back and defend, give up chasing the ball ?

But yes I agree Roberts had a good game though, but he is not consistently good though throughout 90 mins, and of course he won't enjoy playing wide as he classes himself as a striker....and he wants his holiday from Wise / Poyet

Or maybe he wants to do whatever it takes to get the team promoted so he can move up a division, earn a promotion bonus and pay for his own holiday out of that?

I'm sure none of them want to continue to play in L2 if they can help it, but he is still inconsistent either way, but at this level that is what we will get if he was a fantastic player then he would be playing at a much higher level than L2 and be worth lot's of £'s

why does that matter?

if he'd missed those penalties, you'd slate him for that.

I didn't think Monky was coming back until January anyway.

Let Hartlepool have him 'til then, his form is improving... We must not let him go there on a full-time basis though!

Talking of players coming back/not coming back, what's the score with Fola. Is he back yet or still at Brentford.
I also noticed Rodrigo Turnes(sp) has played a few for weston sm. Is he still ours or wot?

CCP wont be back either will he? How long has he got long left on his contract?

Cheers,

Millom

Monkhouse wont be back....Fola hasn't played for Brentford  this month......the Board may well look to avoid paying bonuses by taking decisions, that effect Sturrock and weaken the squad...they will then blame the Trust and fans for causing unrest.

He should be recalled on 2nd January - just to prevent Hartlepool from overtaking us!
If we don't want him send him to on loan to some we've played already like Macclesfield - then hopefully he'll help them beat our promotion rivals.

It's like the Blackburn-Swindon Shearer thing again - we should recall him just so they can't have him...
