Just updating it, and was struggling for songs.

Any suggestions or good downloads?

Mando Diao's album "Bring 'em in" absolutely brilliant.  You won't have heard of them but trust me if you don't like that album, you don't like music.  Kinda rock/indie, Oasis/Kinks inspired.  Mr Moon is a great track as is Sheepdog.  One of there tracks has just been used for the new Sony advert.

Go on give them a go, you won't regret it.

If you like that one there's another album just released called Hurricane Bar, another excellent album.

Bloc Party are one of the best new bands in the world right now. Helicopter is must.

I don't know what you're in to or you've got already but I've been listening too:

The Stills - Changes are no good and Still in Love Song
Ugly Duckling - I Did it like this
Fugazi - Glue man,
the stone Roses - Made of Stone,
Mclusky - Lightsabre Cocksucking blues.

Good Albums to download: Doolittle by the Pixies, Songbook by the Super Furry Animals, the lost riots by Hope of the States. 100 broken windows by Idlewild, DJ Yoda How to Cut and Paste Volume 1, 2 Many Dj's - AS HEard on Radio Soulwax Part 1.

well if you want to try something a bit different... i seriously recomend investigating the sheffield-based post-rock/electronica band 65 days of static (http://www.65daysofstatic.com). they sound like mogwai being welded to squarepusher by low. and if you like them you can see them play in the vic (swindon) early next year. you'll be needing ear plugs

and whilst i'm being nice... if you like your rock inventively interesting, slightly tinged with prog and without ipc's grubby fingerprints all over it, then look for stuff by a band called "youthmovie soundtrack strategies". and remember, you heard about this good shit here, first

i put youthmovie soundtrack strategies on at the zap club in brighton back in march, they were supporting hope of the states, they were right little cunts and in the end i had to tell them to fuck off.

and they were turd

i saw them play in the vic in swindon about a year ago and they seemed ok guys, perhaps a bit pretentious... no scratch that, VERY pretentious (just look at their song titles!) and i'll admit the live show wasn't all that, but the recorded stuff is on a par with the mars volta if you ask me

no not really, i did it for a bit at the beginning of the year but its shitloads of work and no money, the bands themselves are alright but all the idiots around them got right on my tits.

i put on in march/ april/may/june @ the zap, killers, walkmen, bloc party, hope of the states, my red cell, young heart attack, this girl and the bees.

walkmen were the best by miles
