Title: Yeovil away
Post by: Devon Red on Sunday, February 26, 2006, 12:33:01
After yesterdays minor setback our next away game is at Yeovil. Whos going then? getting my tickets tomorrow and booking a train to get there at 11:00. A bit of all day drinking to ease the nerves  :beers:  :D
Should be a good away attendence as is L+P (well done to those that organised/organising it)
Really looking forward to this away game now.

It has got to happen some time! Yeovil is a winable game, especially with the backing the team will get from the travelling L+P red army  :D

The amount travelling will make fuck all difference....we've been terrible on the road for well over a year now..even when we weren't too bad in 03/04 we could put in a terrible performance like Wycombe or R and D where roughly a 1/3rd of the crowd were Town fans.

Sorry Sir

The point is that WE are likely to be the ones making the noise, and with the situation we are in at the moment that could make a psychological difference.

Okay maybe it won't, but the players are more likely to respond to 1,000 L+P than 300 stood there moaning.

GET BEHIND THE TEAM AND WE ARE MORE LIKELY TO SUCCEED.

That is the only thing I feel I can say right now.

Yeovils fans hardly ever chant, you just look back when we beat them at home they just had that annoying instrument which they played once every 10 minutes ffs. If we bring about 500, that'll be enough to out sing em, and our team should out play theirs. ( :soapy tit wank: )

And i'll be there with two of me mates, my dad and my sister so thats 5 of us.

Loud and Proud day wont make a jot of difference.Only a complete cock would go to a game just because its a 'loud and proud' day.

and Yeovil fans do sing at home the stand behind the goal is like a bigger version of the Townend and is quite lively.

Though of course if the attendence is decent 'Loud and Proud' will claim its down to them. They do seem to be setting themselves up as the voice of the supporters these days which I find rather annoying.

Hello.  I'm the voice of nobody, just myself.  Aren't you a member of a group which aims to give the fans a voice?

Grrr, I'm gunna have to do something suicidal like try and out drink you to get you onside aren't I Yeovil. :beers:

On a serious note, where is the photo you promised us.

I'm not one to take offence to stuff written on forums, but I'll have you know that Gay Pride has many more partakers than we ever will have.  How dare you insult them.

We on the other hand, are all batting for one side, as far as I know.

Maybe our loud and proud group should join forces with an actual gay pride organisation.

A sort of we'll go on some marches with you if you come to a few games deal.

Maybe the club could do some sort of special gay and lesbian discount ticket.

Consessions : £15
Adult : £23
Gays : £10

Worth looking into I reckon.

Fuck no, I've had enough of price promotions, we'll never win a bloody game at home again if we have them.  Charge through the roof, success guarenteed, I think it's no coincidence that a price freeze this season has seen us struggle.

A half time Lesbian show might worth looking into though.  Now that one I think I can get the backing of the gang for.

Maybe add a bit of competition element into it. Have a few teams of lesbians and have judging catogries such as most arousing lesbian display and most arousing lesbian display in swiming pool filled with jelly.

We could get some celebraty judges in. I see from his website you can book Tony Hart (http://www.tonyhart.co.uk/), says he'll "promote any event".

Infact why even bother with the football.

Clearly some ground rules will have to be put in place, like Lipstick Lesbians only, no big butch ones allowed.

For the Red Army Loud and Proud angle, we'll supply red condoms instead of balloons! for the dildos and strap ons, although I'd prefer to see tongue action to be fair.  Maybe we'll just give them our big flag to lay on?

Goes without saying. Obviously there'd have to be some sort of pre-judging to prevent any butch man like types slipping through.

I know on the surface you'd think it'd be that way, but the players largely don't give a flying fuck for the fans.....we're just the idiots that pay their wage.

In all honesty if a player is doing his job properly and is fully focussed on matters on the pitch....he wont notice any sort of crowd reaction.
