Is it me or is Uni a little bit of a disappointment in terms of going out?!  A lot of my mates at Uni go out twice a week tops, if I push them, though most of the time it's just the once!  Everyone complains of having no money or having to get up at 9am the next morning.  Fack it, get drunk on £2.37 Lambrini and getting up isn't a problem if you make sure you're still drunk the next morning!  The net result of this is that I've ended up visiting a few other unis at the weekend as reunions with old mates always guarantee more fun and games!

At the moment I'm quite up for going out 3/4 times a week - isn't that what uni's about?!  It seems to be the same at other uni's too!  Are students poofs these days?  What happened to students like Simon (or is it Flammable Ben?  I forget which one drinks ever day  :D  ).

You need to move dwellings for next year mate, your housemates sound like nonces. I was at uni a couple of years ago and i would get drunk, stoned or both practically every night. Its what uni was made for 8)

Get in at 3am and be up for work at 3.30am, work for 50 hours non stop then walk 60 miles home, and be in the pub for 6pm

Uni was awesome. In the last year I scaled down to a couple of proper nights out a week, but drinking at home/pub for most of the others. First year was pretty debauched, though the weekends were usually more sedate affairs than the weekdays...

All the more to stick up your fucking arse when I track you down you fucking yokel :x

I was looking at a flat share with some people from work... I've got the funds to do it and would like to move out... discuss

In the first year I used to go out pretty much every day and go clubbing about 4 times a week but I ran out of money, spent about £1000 in my first month so I didn't have any left as I hadn't saved anything.

Tend to go clubbing a couple of times a week now, Thursdays is the main night. I find that people have been to the same places a lot though so they don't want to go to the same club night every week any more. I probably go out more when I'm back in England but it's much easier here as I can walk everywhere.

Money always ends up the big decider, why I end up just getting pissed at home and typing bollocks on here instead.

1st year I was out pretty much every night, no questions. After that, things get a little serious. I personally do not want to chuck £1175 (per year) away on booze. I do enough to get an ok grade at the moment (2:1) and I chucked away all my savings £1000 out of £1200 away in the first year. The first year counts for shit so it's justifyable - enjoy it whilst you can. After that it's all downhill.

And may i say how much we enjoy your drunken ramblings!.  8)

I was eyeing up this gorrrgeous girl til some guy walks over to me and says: "You got no chance mate" with a sneer on his face.  I called him a cunt and he eyeballed me, so I nutted him....  Too much Carling and watching the Football Factory during the day me thinks.  Fucking lucky to have a mate on the rugby team so he soon backed down.

Turned out he was a mate of the girl's boyfriend, so I guess he had a sort of right, though the girl was reciprocating the slag....  Thought I was in there!   :evil:

Uni, out most nights, even if it was only for a few. Always skint.

Ffwd 11 years, reasonably well paid job, like the odd night out with the lads but also look forward to quite nights in with the Mrs and little one.
I even threw out 3/4 case of John Smiths because it was out of date.

in your first year there should be loads of people wanting to go out! there was something going on more or less every night here in norwich if you wanted to. if not, there would always be plenty to stay in and get stoned/drunk with. typically we probably went out about 4 nights a week on average over the year. like sipie says, the marks don't count so i don't see why there's such a resistance at your uni?

typically it doesn't take much to entice people into the pub here, which is slap bang in the middle of campus. plenty of our best nights out started at 3pm when lectures finished that day, followed by a pub sesh til 11 then upstairs to the LCR (union) for whatever student night they've got.

the second year is a bit calmer. do at least 1 big night out a week, but work and money come into play a bit more this year, so some of my mates are not doing anything at the moment in the hope of saving for music events later in the month. still though, whilst going out isn't as frequent everyone has houses now so freelance cotching is encouraged.

I'm at Brunel - didn't get into Sussex.   :(

My flatmates generally get stoned every night, but my New Year's Resolution was no more drugs after my experience on coke, though I am tempted to break it just to stem the boredom of not going out.  The problem here is there are a lot of locals/Asians so people a). Go home at weekends b). feel threatened to go out on certain nights as it's all Asians - e.g.: Thursdays is hip-hop/R N B down the Union and it's a game of spot the white face....

The other uni's I've visited seem to have been fairly similar with regard's to weekends, but they can go out with the locals in the town, but here Uxbridge is a touch shite....

When I do go out I am generally getting pretty shit-faced, but that's only 3 times a week at the moment....  Don't worry, I will find ways of going out and post up "The Adventures of Walrus"...  :|

Nothing too spectacular.....  But I was a total cunt.  I was on a real low after I split up with my girlfriend so I hit the drink/coke til about 8am Saturday morning, slept for about 16 hours, to wake and find my car parked across three bays with the passenger door ajar and the car totally unlocked.  I've no idea what happened with the car but....  Yeh I know.
