Title: Euro qualifing draw -2008 Post by: larwood on Friday, January 27, 2006, 08:02:40 Its today at 11.00 a.m in Montreux,Switzerland,to qualify for the 2008 European Championship in Austria and Switzerland.
We [England] are one of the seven seeds which means we could face any of the home nations  .The other seeds are Greece,Holland,Portugal,Czech Republic,France and Sweden. There will be seven groups, six will have seven teams and one with eight teams. The teams finishing first and second will qualify,so there will be no play-offs. Still hoping that France, Italy and Ukraine will be pre-occupied with each other and taking points off of each other and we can sneak in the back door.
Still, looking forward to my trip to Georgia!!! "SAFETY AND SECURITY Terrorism On 1 February 2005 there was a car bomb explosion in the city of Gori located between Tbilisi and South Ossetia. A number of policemen were killed and many more civilians injured. The motive for the attack is unknown. You should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate terrorist attacks which could be against civilian targets, including places frequented by foreigners. Please read "Security and General Tips" and "Risk of Terrorism when Travelling Overseas" for further information and advice. Crime Attacks on foreigners are common. Incidents of residential break-ins, carjacking, car theft, petty theft and armed robbery as well as street crime are a common occurrence throughout Tbilisi and Georgia. Precautions should be taken when visiting the tourist areas of Tbilisi and areas frequented by foreigners, such as Vake and Saburtulo. Where possible, travel in groups and be aware of potentially threatening situations. A British citizen was shot and killed in his home in Tbilisi on 2 December 2004. The Georgian authorities are currently investigating the murder. We urge you to review your personal security awareness and precautions. In this context, we also advise you to register your presence in Georgia with the Consular Section of the Embassy. You are advised to be vigilant and take sensible precautions especially when travelling or walking alone at night as you also face the risk of being caught in attacks aimed at others. You should be careful, especially in public places. You should avoid going out or travelling after dark. Georgia is currently experiencing power cuts as a result of electricity shortages. Should you have to go out, carry a torch and go accompanied. Kidnapping You should be aware of the high threat from kidnap. In June 2002, a British businessman was kidnapped in Georgia. It ended with his safe release after four months in captivity. The threat from kidnapping remains, but common sense precautions may reduce the risk. You should vary routes to and from work. Use a driver if possible. Keep doors locked while driving. Keep in regular contact with partners and friends. Consider calling in at agreed times each day. Where possible, drive along main roads. Consider with your employers and your family a "what if" action plan." :beers: Title: Euro qualifing draw -2008 Post by: Tails on Friday, January 27, 2006, 21:28:02 Just take a gun and shoot anyone who comes within 3 feet of you. Then you won't get kidnapped.
