Just been down to work to collect my van for afternoon collections at 4pm.

Was chatting to the lorry driver from Oxford and he told me about Alan Leighton's latest idea to reduce costs.

From next month, all new Royal Mail vans and lorries will no longer have the traditional yellow stripes down the side  :roll:

Only reason i can think of is after we've finished with each van after 3 years we auction them off. I'd imagine getting the Royal Mail livery off to be expensive?

Reading for instance might close as it was built on the Railway company's land and they want it back.

as with any decals on the side of a vehicle, they leave a mark when you take em off.

BUT

royal mail dont own any of the new vehicles, we lease them from a company based in Swindon (the whole of royal mail, not just swindon)

also, on an interesting note, any royal mail vehicles based in swindon that are involved in accidents get brought back to the Dorcan mail centre and left in the yard, its a bit weird seeing a properly fucked up transit van caked in mud, near enough folded in half...

Yep, I was sub mainly because I hadnt been around in the previous 3 weeks and was a fat lazy american bastard, still played a good 80 minutes though and it nearly killed me

plus ive had a shit season because I get played in a different position every week.

On Sunday I came on in midfield, then went to left back then upfront then back to left back then back up front again....

Plus our striker went round the keeper and did an Ellington, not the first open goal he has missed either and I still cant get into the team ahead of him  :x

He is good at running with the ball, he is timing his runs better....he cant finish for toffee though, 2 open goals one he blazed over from a yard....with his left foot, 2nd one on sunday did an Ellington round the keeper and tripped over the ball. Frustrating to watch, knowing you would have scored both

Just in case you didn't know Ralphy.....there's to be a forum, to make it easier for the racists to discuss matters of interest.....I suppose an apartheid policy should be applied and the likes of Dex and Blackcurrant should kept out.
