And, just to let you all know that theres going to be some kind of repair work on the track (Ithink its from Crewe to Gills) but I could have heard completely wrong as the ticket lady was mumbling so there is going to be a complimentary coach from this point for the rest of journey which will take 35 mins approx.

Definately better off going to Strood. That way its only 3 miles in a taxi/service bus if the rail replacements fuck up or cant cope with the demand (which is more than likely). Whereas Meopham is miles out in the sticks, gives you no back up plan.
