no idea village, i've emailed barmyflags.com for a quote. i was looking at 6ftx3ft.

I got a 6ft x 12ft St Andrews cross with Swindon Tartan Army on it for about £120. That was a few years ago and may have been a special offer.

I dont know how much everything costs but i do know that club badges are quite a bit extra.

I want to get one done with SWINDON TOWN & SN3 on it.

rightyo, i got a quote for a 10x5ft flag for £322.53. without the old stfc crest, it will be £227.53.

anyone fancy splitting the cost with me? i'll pay the majority of it but any contributions would be welcome.

Speak to Whits before you go ahead with anything. Apparently the guy at the place he got his done did a bit of a deal on the price over the phone.

Also, make sure you get good quality, hi-resolution (at least 300dpi) images of the logos, as they're being printed pretty big.

Me and my dad got a flag made in JJB in bath a couple of seasons ago before the play off legs. It says 'swindon town fc, westbury reds' on it although I can't remember in what order. When I watched the game back on sky, you could see it clearly hanging on the wall at the bottom of the arkells  8)

the badge is pretty much the most identifiable image of the club though, so it's an obvious thing to have on there.

they look a bit plain without a badge to be honest...

If you want to have something a bit unique then get one with just the old badge on it. Or the ST.

No one bats an eyelid at the new badge on flags now. Like I said, everyones got it.

1879 is rather optimistic. Our founder date is like chinese whispers, it keeps going further and further back. 1882 is the official founder year, as we had our centenary in 1982, also the year I was born.

Not a bad idea, the England flags are def running out of steam now though, too many about.

i thought the founder date was established in the mid 90's. It was even put on the Swindon Kit

looking at it we have only been know as "Swindon Town FC" since 1883. The actually team was formed in 1879 but was known as first "Swindon AFC" then "Swindon Spartans".

SOUTH and REDS would need to be in white, would be hard to distinguish from a far otherwise.

Not at all.

Id would suggest you have the ST top left. Have OXON REDS (OXON on top of Reds) all in the bottom right box. Ditch the scroll under the ST, and the circle around ST and instead have Swindon Town FC in white through the middle. And get him to outline the ST in black or gold so that it really stands out.

Best thing to do is draw it and fax it to them.

The club have agreed to open up early to allow any and all flags and banners to be put put for the Rotherham game.  Be great to see some of the many flags that make the away trips turn up.

I'd be particularly keen to know who owns all the ones in the photo from chesterfield earlier in the thread.

Our 16 x 8 flag from barmyflags cost us 265 quid. But we were told on Saturday by Ron Topp that a company on Shrivvy road called cutting edge signs are always keen to help the club and fans alike, and they did all the say yes ones that you see inside the CG.

If anyone is interested, ask to speak to a guy called Mark, mention Rons name, and they'll probably offer a better price than barmy flags.

Any chance you still have it and could bring before the game against Rotherham?  If someone hasn't already asked.

Aberdeen have a superb support usually. At Tynecastle on saturday they brought 3,500, were 3-0 down at half time, down to 10 men and outsung the Hearts fans the whole of the second half.

A week earlier, Hearts were 3-0 up at half time against the peg sellers and they all fucked off, not a peep from them the whole of the second half! (Until after the game when their hooligans were looking for trouble!)

There is a place on Shrivenham Rd that does banners and flags I think and Ron Topp suggested they would offer discounts to Town fans if you mentioned him.
