I've been browsing the net and it seems there is the chance to see Aussie Rules, League and union Rugby and domestic cricket while I'm there. I'll be going down the East coast, and will just miss being in Melbourne for the Commonwealth games.
I just wondered if anyone has been out and watched any live sport out there and if venues or sports are especially worth a look? The tour includes admission to swim in the Olympic pool.
Went to Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairnes on my honeymoon in 2002. Had a great time but didn't see any live sport.
