just got a new phone, sony ericsson w800i, got home and i've got no signal whatsoever. fantastic. superb.

this is despite o2's website showing my area with full coverage...

O2 is down at the moment around the Oxon/Wilts area.

O2 is fine here in Cheltenham.........

worked fine in swindon, highworth, lechlade etc on the way home. it died as soon as i drove into my village.

Signals come and go mate - I wouldn't worry too much at the moment.  have you been working on the score board today at all?

What made you choose the 800i Sonic?

I wasn't that impressed, must admit though can't stand SE, after Ericsson arrived they managed to turn Sony's innovative stylish handsets into lumps of mass plastic stock.

i've been christmas shopping in swindon. went to ask about upgrading my phone and came out with a new phone and £50 cashback.

it's a tidy little phone daz, nice camera, the walkman mp3 player is nifty and it's got loads of expandable memory. have a samsung d500 but fancied a change so not much point in going for a d600.

What phone should I get?  I could extend my contract with Orange and get an upgrade, or be stuck for another 30 days then sign up with another network.  I'm pretty much allowed any phone on Orange, I quite like the look of the w8ooi, but I've got the K700i and mine's fucking shit, though it has been dropped a few times while pissed etc....

How does £50 cashback work? Whats the catch?

dunno. i rang vodafone and they wanted me to pay £100 for this handset. went into phones4u to look around (got my last phone there) and they've given it to me for free.

Ive got a K750i or should i say i did have a K750i, as ive had to send it off to the repair centre as it just died on me.

Ive only had it for 4 months and now ive got to go and buy a £25 piece of shit Mobile to see me through the next couple of weeks whilst its being fixed.

The problem ive now got is that i dont know any of my mates who i go to Footy with Mobile numbers off the top of my head. :?

and the phone has just locked up on me for the third time since i got it...

The only network that receives a signal in my flat is Vodaphone, of which I always receive full bars.

You see, I would have thought that was a bad thing.  Yet another example of how fucking out of touch I am :cry:

I wasn't that impressed although I'm biased, I’ve had my grubby hands on every handset pre-release for the past few months and to be honest I found them all a pile of shit.  That said the 800 is not to bad especially if you're without an MP3 player.

Can’t believe how badly a lot of them are designed, how often they will balls up and how little difference there is with each release.  

My old dear could write the firmware for a lot of handsets and still make a better job of it.

The only handsets I’ll forgive is the O2 XDA Mini which I kept and the Motorola PEBL, which is quite snazzy but is just a re-packaged V3 at the end of the day.

Right I’m off to talk about beer, birds and wanking before OST tells me off.

Holiday = Quality, America NEVER let's you down. Saw the Slave Traders game before I went and it gave me much hope for staying up.

if im low on signal i just hit the bottom of it, and that generally works.  :soapy tit wank:

I am now the owner of a bad boy £25 LG phone, its not that bad considering its as cheap as Chips. :wink:

I'm on O2, I get full signal just about everywhere. The W800 looks like the best phone about.

im on orange and are pretty much fine everywhere so far.

O2 is the way to go.  They're indirectly my new parent company so got to tow the company line.

To be honest I feel like the ultimate knob at the moment with what I'm doing I have to carry two mobiles, a PDA and a fucking laptop.

Never had a problem with coverage with 02 either. The only thing that's crap is when you need to call them. That is very frustrating!
