Anyone have any tales?

This year a rather conservative older lady that I used to work with got hammered by the time I arrived late for the meal.

She started groping me all night then promptly announced she was a lezza.  Two married's also asked me for an affair this year, I've been in hiding ever since to be honest

i've got mine tonight, can't afford to drink though  :|

hopefully home by 10 as i hate most of the people i work with  :D

Had the office lunch yesterday.  My first experience of such an event, very good actually considering the average office is a load of people who only know each other cos they're in the same office, nice afternoon off drinking at the bosses house.

2002 - Got incredible pissed, wandered off into the rain and got pounced on by a hooker who "offered me a hand" - I got scared and ran away  :soapy tit wank:

That night I spent a good two minutes punching a hand dryer, cos it wasn't working before finally realising I had my wet hands under a paper towel dispenser  :oops:   :soapy tit wank:

Bosses house Matt?

Bit of a leap of faith on his behalf, nearly every Christmas party I've been to degenerates into chaos.

I'll never forget a few years back a very cold senior technician being hammered, dancing with this real very hard career obsessed middle management woman in her late 30's.

 He was a bit of a sad case in his late 40’s and a real stress head by the book sort of character who's only passion in life was the Ferrari F1 team.  She barely spoke to anyone if it wasn’t in her interest or inserting her tongue into the directors bottoms.  Both rarely interacted on anything other than a work level with anyone.

I turned around just to catch him gawping at her nawks, which if I remember rightly where quite impressive and pointing like spears out of this little blue top.   He looks around to see if anyone’s  watching and we gave him an approving nod and then with genuine mischief in his eye he looks down eyes bulging, proper sweat on board by this point, grabs both her nips and twists them like a mad man franticly trying to tune in some primeval old radio.

There's only a dozen of us in the team and everyone's pretty civilised, so lunch in Brinkworth followed by an afternoon of general banter was OK, I think the summer ball degenerated into chaos you'd expect at these sort of things.  Pretty good day considering I'm only a temp too.

I never go.

Christmas parties are unpaid work as far as im concerned.

I think we're doing something gay like betting on dogs. I have to go so I guess it will just be another night to get smished

Ours are paid - we go on Friday at 12pm so we're still on working time and we receive a £30 rebate for going (leisure bonus!)
Be more expensive not to go....

Why dont all companys do this?

Jimbo I'm at the research councils at the moment, I leave in 2 weeks then need a new job after Xmas for a while.  I even got paid for my Xmas do!

Its beneficial as it's team building or team bonding via different, cheaper means....

You're right - all companies should do it!

My Missus works for a decent company (expensive Italian sports cars) and she has two christmas partys , one is a dinner being held at a hotel. The other is a fun party in which there is a free bar, drinking games, nightclub stuff etc. Guess which one partners aren't invited to.


ARSE.

We have ours at Bowood House, but with over 200 staff members partners do not get invited.

We do get a free coach from work and back to your doorstep though, which is good, and free wine with the meal - the bar isn't free though.

We have ours next Thursday evening, we're having it at a big bar in Chelt. Partners can come but only if they pay extra.  free bar for us though so all good  :D

Im lucky with my co. - had a do earlier in the year at a Manor in Tewkesbury and British Airways (being a partner of ours) put £800 behind the bar for us - happy days!

I am off on mine tonight, better watch out if you are in town tonight as I am getting fooking trollied  :beers:
