Title: ebay tat total sales for the week Post by: Dazzza on Saturday, January 15, 2005, 00:09:18 = £300.00+
Includes a load of old videos (yep VHS), old PC games, old PC components and anything else I could lay my paws on. Started everything at a 1p or £1 and made sure I make a couple of quid on P&P as insurance. Unfortunately I have now run out of tat to sell. Going to get down the next boot sale. Title: ebay tat total sales for the week Post by: Dazzza on Saturday, January 15, 2005, 18:15:17 Listed at 1p and packaged in bundles, usually of 3, based on genre, actor etc.
Made the P&P at about £5.50 UK, so you make a profit even if they sell at just 1p. Those not on DVD sell really well and a couple of individual listings got bids up to £15/£16 for just one video! I was close to binning the lot as even the pikey porn shops no longer purchase them and this year will probably see video recorders drop in sales and come virtually extinct. new years broke the bank and now i'm paying off my credit card as well Title: ebay tat total sales for the week Post by: Rossi on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, 17:12:58 Dazza you seem to have a fair bit of knowledge about ebay. I want to sell my old PS2 because it scratches the games/DVDs as they are played. I'm not sure whether to be honest and sell it as faulty (which would fetch around £25 (although most of the faulty consoles sold don't play the games at all)) or to just try and sell it as a normal PS2 and hope that they don't realise that it scratches games with the risk of being given bad feedback and also the buyer requesting that I refund their money.
Title: ebay tat total sales for the week Post by: Dazzza on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, 17:35:07 Honesty is the best policy.
Just dress the truth up a little and away you go. PS2 superb condition as new, boxed only 3 months old - unwanted gift! Jizz in a little personal touch like: I was given this as a gift for Christmas and not really being much of a games player and needing the cash to pay for my Thai bride's crack habit I have decided to sell. I have used it once and it did leave a tiny scratch on the DVD, not sure if this is a small fault or just the quality of the disc. As a result bidding starts at JUST £1.00 (you can always outbid yourself if you're not happy with the price approaching the auctions close). Then just whack in a disclaimer right at the end that the item is sold as seen. Plus no refunds. People will bid on it without even reading your description in full and if they start crying simply point them to the disclaimer and the description which is 100% accurate. If they leave bad feedback just contact ebay, show them the buyers complaint and then show them the auction and they will simply remove it for you. If you don't include our disclaimer and sell as perfect then your just causing hassle for yourself in the long run. Title: ebay tat total sales for the week Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, January 18, 2005, 17:42:49 just make sure that the fault is in the description otherwise you could get buggered. The fault must be pointed out (or as dazzza says, just say you think it could be a fault) else they could demand their money back
