Really gutting for me cos i've worked so hard in the gym, running and swimming. Just want to know the best way to get rid of my abdominal fat? I do alot of running on the treadmill already and i do swimming. They do this at my gym and its suprising how many blokes go, apparently its really really good for you. At least with classes it makes you motivated to go whereas you can go to the gym anytime. If you want to lose fat you need to cut down on carbs but still eat a bit of fat. If you eat carbs your body will burn carbs first, whereas if you eat fat, it will burn fat first. Cutting out carbs and eating a little bit of fat will help you lose some.
A couple of my mates are into body building and they will eat 1 meal with carbs a day (breakfast or lunch), then 2 other meals with minimal/no carbs, when they are trying to lose fat. Stick with the aerobic work, if you’re running I’d suggest going out and about. It’s far tougher and more interesting than a treadmill in the gym. You also want to incorporate some direct work to your abs by the sound of it. Sit-ups and crunches are the way to go but do them properly otherwise it’s a complete and utter waste of time and you’ll fuck your back over. Go to your local sports shop and get one of those small devices that attaches to the bottom of any door which you hook your feet under to ensure correct posture and that you actually work the right muscles. Join a running club and work towards entering a half marathon that should help with your running.
