I love the bit where he says

" we are not a million miles from playing well.  I have watched the video of the Notts County game and for 40 minutes we were the better side"

Relegation 6 pointer in November, between us and City.  Who'd have thought that when the fixture list came out?  Especially with their "premiership attacking force"!!

And the kind of money they have had to spend on players in comparison to us!!!!

I see it as a must win game. Sure there is a long way to go, but we could be 10 points behind safety should the unthinkable happen. And that is a massive gap.

I hate to say it, and I hate to agree with the use of the term but I am beginning to think that tomorrow is a must win situation if we are to avoid relegation.  A defeat at home against them would leave us at our lowest ebb confidence wise, a victory would be a spring board for greater things.  A draw, well it wouldn't be the worst thing.

I suppose a must not lose way of thinking, maybe more applicable.

Damn right Jan, it's a game we can't lose IMHO, a draw would keep our run going, and I think despite it being at home I think suit us better than them, it really would boost their inferiority complex.

A draw in my opinion isn't good enough. We need a win. We really need to start winning our home games against lower opposition. We need to claw our way back. I don't care about our performance or how we do it, but want and expect three points on friday! Come on!!

Yeah, but we are bottom not them :( .I get your point though :) ,after 3 good draws against teams who will be probably be in the promotion shake up come the end of the season,we need to beat teams who are near us.
I have to say that i'm nervous, its a big enough game without the added pressure of it being a six pointer as well ,but that is what it is.

It's a crucial game, you could say a draw would be ok, but at the moment I don't think so. We are home to a team at the bottom, if there's any chance of us staying up we have to start getting wins and one tomorrow is essential. And there is no way I want to see city pulling away from us.

Yeah its a must win game really.  We are 7 points behind safety, which is basically 3 games.  If we draw, then we only catch up 1 point can the pack by one point.

However whenever i go to a Town game (or listen to the game on the radio), its hard to see where the goals are going to come from.  Sure Fallon has a good record, but other than that, we've found it hard to score from open play.

However both teams have dodgey defences, so it should be a high scoring game.  Now i've said that, it will be 0-0

We really need a win and I think we will get one. We've played quite well recently (with the exception of last Saturday), whilst City have been shit and Johnson has been blaming it on his players, early goal for us with our fans making some noise and we could stuff em.

I popped down to the ground to pick up my tickets at 10:45 and all the Sky outside broadcast stuff was being set up. I'm wetting myself with excitement now (my wife says this is a bit sad for a 33 year old but what the fuck)

C'MON YOU REDS!
