Title: Attendance
Post by: Nils on Monday, November 7, 2005, 20:55:48
From what I can see there should be a lot at the Brizzol game. Personally I am bringing a friend. She is a town fan but works on saturdays so only comes to the mid week games. Another mate is going with his mate and he has only been to about 3 games but he is a Liverpool fan.

The head chef from work is also going, but he is going to sit in the city end cos he is going wiv a mate who is a Brizzol fan  :x

I think Brizzol will bring a few and I hope they nearly sell their allocation.

I am gunna go the whole hog and say 10k.

Oh yea forgot bout sky. Will the money from sky out weigh the money from those who choose to watch it at home tho?

Doubt City will bring there normal quota, but the atmosphere generated by them will be about the same.

I think 6k is about right sadly.

When we cant even get 7000 for such a derby game there really is something up.

Its been up for quite a while. That 1-1, Robins/Parkin was about 6,500. It was a good one that, City in the Town End.

Yeah that was good- considering it was televised, city brought an abismal amount of support to a local derby though.

City barely managed a 800 or so I'd say.  That leaves 6700 ish Swindon fans yesterday, with a packed TE and fairly full Nationwide.  Given the home allocation is 11000 ish then we were pretty well supported given our league position last night, and the fact that prices were normal.  Lets hope all the extra's went away thinking what a great place it is to be again.

Thought City would have brought SOME.

That was shocking. 1000 absolute tops, which still leaves 6500 home fans.

Well done everyone who turned up and SUPPORTED the team (not a dig at those who COULDN'T go)
