Fucking thank God it'll finally be over this weekend.  I'm getting pissed off with all these fucking fireworks.

My kittens aren't that impressed either.

Some kids were playing in the field behind my house and after they had finished with the fireworks they threw eggs at all the houses with conservatorys. 2 minutes later it pissed down and all the egg washed off, i hope the little buggers caught colds. :old:

LIDL do some good fireworks that are reasonably cheap.

Apparently loads of people will be going to the one in Southampton on saturday. My housemate is trying to drag the rest of us there but I'm watching paint dry because it will probably be more exciting.

Anyone remember when Swindon had a firework display before one of the games? We were top of division one at the time, probably 1997. Only 15 minutes long but easily the best one I've ever been too.

I've been on a weekend trip to London so watched them on the Thames on Saturday

They were going off from two barges and they had standing fireworks on Millenium bridge also

I'm not usually one for fireworks but it was fairly awesome and put other displays to shame.

Made a change from last year when we spent the night hosing down the shed because it started smoking from the heat on the bonfire (30 feet away)   :soapy tit wank:

We had an organised display in the field behind our house and as i opened the gate at the bottom of the garden to go and see it i was greeted to the sight of an 87 year old guy falling down right in front of us. The Mrs stayed with him and kept him talking while i legged it to find a first aider from the ambulance parked by all the candy floss vans. By this time i was proper panicked as moving through a crowd of about 500+ is no mean feat when you are in a hurry, especially as i was thinking this guy was gonna croak it in my bloody back garden. Anyway, i found the first aider, we hurried back to the old guy who was still on the ground and not moving and as my Mrs let the paramedic take over she turns to me and says "he fucking reeks of booze!" -so thats the last time i take an oldie falling over seriously.
87 years old and pissed out of his head, my fucking hero.

It was like bloody Baghdad in my manor on Saturday. The bloody noise was immense. A good guage was my cat who's normally unfazed by Nov 5th. This year he cowered in my wife's lap like the big ginger pussy he really is! :(

I managed to worm my way out of going. My housemate tried to send me a text asking to persuade everyone else in my house to go. Luckily the silly sausage sent it to the wrong Simon. I got the blame though  :?

I did say it was probably Ralphy's fault
