looks like a decent idea to me, probably going to be loads of hidden catches though. £13 for the NW/Arkells as a student, bingo! Title: Football 4 Free Post by: DMR on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:04:31 it's about that for a student anyway isnt it
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: Simon Pieman on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:07:07 If they let you in as a student (they got arsey last time). Next time I will phone and book cos apparently they don't check.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: janaage on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:09:23 That's no change from the way it is now. Although a good move by the club, as it's being portrayed as a new deal.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: McLovin on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:11:08 Will they accept my 'Student Receipt' from Swindon College? Hmmmmm...
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: walrus on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:11:50 I always go in as a Town End. It's not a bad deal, but then again I couldn't afford it if I had to pay £23 squid a time...
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: unclemark on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:14:54 Now I am 16 I will have to pay the full fare as well, unless I just pretend I am 15. I probably couldn't get away with that for much longer though :(
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: Rossi on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:16:05 i used to go as an U16 til I was about 17
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: janaage on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:18:56 We used to do that back in the day. We used to travel into town go to the pub at opening, get to the ground, get my season ticket holder mate to get us free kids tickets, go in the nationwide, stinking of booze, then go straight to the bookies in there and place a few bets. Quality days.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: Rossi on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:21:13 At the end of the day though, I wouldn't have come as often if I had to pay the stupid prices they charge for adult tickets
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: unclemark on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:22:34 I used to be able to get in for £2 in the family enclosure a couple of years ago. 8) Happy Days!
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: RobertT on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 16:41:26 It is indeed the current pricing. The club have listened to a little advice that people just don't know about these deals and are leafleting several thousand school age childrens parents. Good effort I say.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: janaage on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 17:01:55 Yep defo a good plan of attack, did this appear in the Adver today?
Send a few of the players to the schools with those, should generate a bit of interest. Title: Football 4 Free Post by: Nils on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 17:04:43 As far as i know the only student card they accept is an NUScard.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: Northern Red on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 17:26:26 Woo hoo - I'm a 26 year old part-timer student - and I have an NUS card
Cheaper footie for me 8) Boooooo - just seen the bit that "proof of full-time education is needed" NUS card should cover that surely :? Title: Football 4 Free Post by: sonicyouth on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 17:34:54 it doesn't, sorry.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: walrus on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, 17:40:29 Students: As long as you look under 25, I wouldn't imagine they ask for an NUS card. I collect my ticket from the collection point from the man with the huge Victorian-stylee sideburns and they never ask for my NUS card, despite it being in capital letters on the envelope to do so. It's always worth a try, particularly if you're between 16 and getting an NUS card...
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: mattboyslim on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, 09:16:15 My dad spent the last 4 years getting me tickets with my nUS, now they know him and relaise I must have left uni... £21 it is.
Title: Football 4 Free Post by: fatbury on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, 09:18:03 Well done to the club for getting the kiddies in cheap .. about time tho! :beers:

Excellent article, just hope it gets some more bums on seats. Nice touch about the Schools getting something out of it if they manage to sell some of these tickets. Well done Devlin and Co. Title: Football 4 Free Post by: reeves4england on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, 18:11:49 NUS card willbe fine
