I've decided that its about time that I clean my bathroom as its beginning to smell.  As I've never cleaned a bathroom in my life before I'm not really sure what to do.  I have a bottle of toilet duck 3 in 1 - Ocean Force, Alpine Parozone Thick Bleach and last but not least Flash Bathroom Spray (for a longer lasting clean! :wink: )

Ok, so first up the toilet duck.  It says to spray it under the rim and leave for 20 mins.  Does it matter if I squirt it clockwise/counter-clockwise?  Also is it really neccessary that I leave it for 20 mins because I will probably need a slash by that time because I'm up every 5 minutes when drinking larger.  Also do I have to brush it around with my toilet cleaner brush?

Next the bleach.  It says that I have to leave it overnight if you put it in the bog, but do you rekon that I could put it on last thing before I go to bed with the Toilet duck, this killing two birds with one stone? Also when I put it down the drains, do I need to leave it for a while before I can use the taps/shower so that the water doesn't stop it doing it business.

Finally the bathroom spray.  Again it says that I should leave it for 5 minutes before wiping away for best results.  Are the results really that much better if I leave it for that extra 5 minutes or would you recommend wiping straight away?


Any other bathroom cleaning tips would also be appriciated!

I'm not being sexist, it's just that women are more knowledgable about this sort of thing than blokes.

 Cleaning is not exactly rocket science though is it....avoid pissing on the carpet is my advice.

Never get carpet in your bathroom, you WILL piss on the carpet!

I have tiles which is a good thing.  I have missed the target on a few occassions when coming home in the early hours, but my bathroom is a wet room (think thats what its called) so it gets flooded when I have a shower, so I don't have to clean the floor :D

Top tip - if there's bleach in the toilet, piss in the sink  :D

just rinse with toilet duck, buy a toilet freshener to keep it fresh and use air freshener.

Job done.

 But you get one those shaped mats that fit round the bog....then wash it weekly..ish.

Can do reg yeah, best to get tiles or lylo in the bathroom though.

 Personally I prefer the warmth of carpet....we're all different though.

Balls! I was giving the bleach a good shake before using it and it went all over my top.  It had better come out!

I like wooden flooring, nice when it's heated.

Had a new bathroom put in this year, new carpet as well. Managed to get bleach on that, nice white spot on it now!

Ok.  Good thing, I washed my top and the bleach seems to have come out.  Bad thing, I put some other stuff in to wash at the same time, and I accidently tumble dried my cotton jumper, so its shrunk a bit :x

Now thats what I call sparkling.  My bathroom is so small that I had to hold my phone right in front of my head whilst standing in the corner to get a decent picture.  Also thats an example of the quality of the pictures on my phone (thought I'd boast about that :) )
