One of my friends is a big Man U fan, she goes with her husband to quite a few games and they always do a VIP match for the last home game of the season.

They always enjoy it, they're usually so drunk by the time the match starts they can't remember much about that. She did say though that the best players don't come up much to the VIP rooms afterwards, that's left to the less well known players now.

I did the VIP bit at OT on New Years day a couple of years ago - my missus is a big fan of David Beckham - she had waited all day to see him but when he came to collect his Man Of the Match award she was in  the bog and missed it - I tell ya women and football just don't mix!

Not sure if it was included in the price, but I got to have a piss next to Matty H and Migz. Not seen that one advertised before!

I've been in a VIP box at White Hart Lane when I was about 8 to watch an American football game... I'm not sure how we ended up getting tickets for that.
Also we've got tickets in an executive box for West Ham - Man Utd in November :beers:

I was in a box at OT when we had them in the league cup and took 8000 fans up there - was funny as fook when were outsinging them and the mancs sat round me could understand, and when we scored I jumped up in the box and went fooking mental (fully suited and booted!), they all just looked at me in wonderment! The woman behind was also cheering our goal, I turned and asked if she was a town fan and she said "NO, Man City!!"

Hope you had a good day, free beer at football is ace

Neither can I - at £400 a ticket I'm quite glad someone else was paying  :D

Excellent day out. That Jenas freekick was something special, but the game as a whole was a disappointment. Even the man sat next to me agreed (one Denis Irwin!). Although he was happy cos he bet his money on Silvestre scoring (£600 up by half time).

Weird place OT, first time I'd been.
I walked in and went "Wow" that's quite big and all that. But then I realised it's just a football ground filled with muppets for fans (chant of the day from Spurs "60,000 muppets"). They are silent for most of the game and can just about manage a "U-nit-ted" between them, but its seriously stretching their vocabulary. There was more atmosphere on the terrace at Doncaster...

The football was not what the VIP ticket paid for (as some of you know)
3 course meal, complimentary champagne/alco  (I was bladdered by 6pm), free gifts (leather wallet - ebay!), programmes, player meets etc.
Meeting Guiseppe Rossi (short arse but top bloke) and Phil Bardsley (Grumpy) was cool, but they only had about two minutes per table.
Chatted to Alex Stepney for a while about Tom Heaton, he knew a fair bit about him, and reckoned United will hold him for a while yet as they believe he's one for the future. I asked him about his loan being up at Christmas and he said that it'll be extended as long as he stays first team choice.
Denis Irwin was a laugh as well, helped us cheat on the half time quiz (by answering the United questions for us) which meant we won a signed Man U shirt  :soapy tit wank:

I said to Irwin that the previous match I'd seen was Doncaster away, on the terraces in the wind and he said "That's how football should be"  8)

So in short a great day out, but the football was a bit average...
