Giving blood isn't only the right thing to do but it's great because all the nurses are nice to you, you get to chat to the fit bird on the bed next to you and you get a free biscuot amd ccup of tea at the end of it. I'm also gojng to use it as an excuse to drink as much as possible afterwards.

TBH it's never made a difference on how drunk I get, but maybe this time.

I didn't think you were able to give blood after a night of copious drinking :D

They don't mind, as long as you havn't got aids, been to an affrican country in 6 months, slept with someone who's been to africa in 6 months or are gay they ain't bothered. If you need a blood transplant then being pissed is the least of their worries.

Looks as if i can give blood. "In the last 12 months, have you had sex.....blah blah blah" I turned off after that bit, just hit the NO button! I really should give blood, i work in a hospital ffs! I've been too lazy to do anything about it though

I've only done it twice. I don't loke looking at the tube coming out of my wrist so I just turn away and chat to anyone who's around.

Working in a hospital you should do it though, I'm sure they leave around enough info about for you to find out where in swindon they are doing in next.

They leave loads of guff around about it, but i never stop to read any and i work nights, so there is never anyone harassing me about it. I wish there was tbh, hten i would go and do it. I just checked where to give blood, turns out there is a centre just down the road from me and they have a clinic tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon. I shall be in attendance

the next one in swindon is this friday, but i go on holiday then, gutted. i've been thinking bout giving blood for bloody ages now, but never really chased it up.

If you give blood anywhere around Swindon chances are you'll get my Mum

She worked for a day at the County Ground a while back, and bought me the new Home shirt - ain't Mum's brill-yant  :D

It turns out that when drunk I can't tell the difference between monday and tuesday. so I really am giving blood tomorrow. and the neadless walk did end up with a few pints in the bar so it was good all the way.
