Title: On the brightside Post by: PHIL!!!! on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 19:48:45 Stockport County only won two matches in the first 3 months of the season last year and then only went on to win another 4. Surely we are better than that.
It took them from the 14th of August until the 16th of October to win 2 games and then to win a third game, it took them until the 18th of December.....FACT http://www.soccerbot.com/fa/tables/uk2div05.htm Title: On the brightside Post by: blinkpip on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 20:12:16 I can't see where our next win will be. Maybe Franchise home?

Yeah we have a few tough games ahead, but hopefully the lads are up for it. Title: On the brightside Post by: Tails on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 20:33:22 3 wins and it won't be as bad, but I can't see us winning 1 game at the moment let alone 3.
Title: On the brightside Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 21:57:03 it will happen why is everyone so doom and gloom? ok we have lost 8 on the trott but it cant get any worse than it is now can it?
Title: On the brightside Post by: Tails on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 21:57:51 Yes, we can keep on losing!
Title: On the brightside Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 21:58:41 and our relegation can be confirmed before christmas....oh dear it can get worse!
Title: On the brightside Post by: Tails on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 22:00:32 ^^ There ya go.
Anyway, if we surprise Brentford, Scunny and Huddersfield (I want revenge for last season :x) things will look a lot healthier...Lets hope the team have it in them.. Title: On the brightside Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 22:05:44 lets hope that we can start well again but actually carry on rather than going deep for the rest of the game after going 1-0 up. doing that against them teams could be fatal
Title: On the brightside Post by: Reg Smeeton on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 22:31:01 This is the stuff.....I'm hoping we'll do better than the scum in 01, which was the second worse since the formation of the third tier in 58.
We're 2 points better off at the same stage. You've got to have a bit of sympathy with those boys when they go to Rovers and lose 6-2 in a desperate effort to get us relegated. I'd like to think we could do something to prevent the Shitty going up which has been managed on a number of occasions since their formation in 82, Title: On the brightside Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 22:33:38 they won't be going up Reg! they aint that far better off than us!

This isn't a great league...after Forest they are by far the richest club in it, you'd have to be a complete incompetent not to get their massive squad, there or thereabouts. Twice in the last couple of seasons we've deprived them of the points they needed, Fallon/ Miller.... then the 0-0 anhilation last season. Title: On the brightside Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 22:46:05 i remember the play off season derby against shitty. the miller miss at the end was the funniest miss ever! dont think ill ever forget that! i was already leaving in disgust before bursting with laughter!
Title: On the brightside Post by: Tails on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 23:22:01 Ahh Fallons goal!! Classic that was. Didn't Roberts score for City that day aswell?
Title: On the brightside Post by: Iffy's Onion Bhaji on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 23:27:14 yeah he did. a shit heywood mistake. funny how they have both swapped to the other team now

Title: On the brightside Post by: walrus on Monday, October 10, 2005, 09:56:54 You lot are stupid - we're only 13 points off the playoffs. That's still catchable, though it'd help if we started our 15 game winning streak on saturday...
Title: On the brightside Post by: Sippo on Monday, October 10, 2005, 10:09:53 Walrus, the league is very tight, but I can't see where our win will come from...I pray it is soon, but just have serious doubts.

Back in 01? , Bormufff had a poor start to the season and were down in the relegation zone at this time (not 24th or detached mind), thye then got in Defoe on loan, he scored sack loads and they finished 7th just outside the PO. Went down next season though when he went back to the Ammers. Don't think Hameur Boazza will have quite the same impact. Title: On the brightside Post by: walrus on Monday, October 10, 2005, 10:16:21 I reckon if Cureton comes back on Saturday he will be scorching, and we'll have Brentford. I worry Ounoura will keep faith with shortass though.... (Bouazza - I don't like him, I don't have a reason, and don't have to!).
Maybe I'm a little too optimistic? Title: On the brightside Post by: Sippo on Monday, October 10, 2005, 10:21:41 Was I the only one who thought he wasn't anything special - Bouazza that is. I'd like to see Curo given another chance. He just needs that first goal....
Title: On the brightside Post by: McLovin on Monday, October 10, 2005, 10:38:11 i can't see where our next win will come from. our midfield on Saturday when Whalley went off had the average age of 19.
Also, sadly I saw no sign that Iffy posesses any real competence when it comes to being a manager. All 3 of our other first team strikers left off the bench, Ben Wells put on when we need to be grafting for a win, Jack Smith thrown virtually up front. The casual, 'leant against the dugout' look coupled with no motivation and encouragement from himself annoyed me somewhat.
