Title: Fans' open meeting: Mon 10th 7.30 GW bar Post by: pauld on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 11:15:30 (Reposted from Trust forum) Reminder about the open meeting for all fans to discuss how we can help the club, what you want the Trust to be doing (and whether there's going to be a club to help, if things carry on like this). Please try and get along - we want you to tell us what we're doing right, where we're going wrong and get involved! This isn't just about the Trust - it's for all fans to exchange views on the state of our club.
Quote Just a quick reminder that the meeting open to all fans to discuss what we can do to help pull the club out of the hole its currently in is tomorrow Mon 10th at 7.30 in the GW bar. [/quote]In the light of last week's fans' forum and yesterday's revelation that the club is facing yet another winding up order that they neglected to mention when being "open and transparent" on Wednesday, it is all the more important that we as fans unite to prepare for the rocky road ahead. With crowds and season ticket holders down to pretty much rock bottom, the club needs the loyal "hardcore" fans more than ever - Rob Tuck's fantastic "Loud and Proud" initative yesterday shows what we can achieve as fans when we get together. The aim of this meeting is not for the Trust board to tell you what we're doing but for you to tell us what we should be doing. There's been a lot of "Why aren't the Trust doing X?" recently and this meeting is an opportunity for us all to sit down as fans and work out where we should be going, what we should be doing, and what role you want the Trust to play in that. The meeting is open to all Town fans - please remember the GW bar has a "no football shirts" dress code. See you tomorrow at 7.30 Title: Fans' open meeting: Mon 10th 7.30 GW bar Post by: Spencer_White on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 11:38:13 Hope you get a good turnourt. Im tempted myself.
One very small point though, not sure about the venue. That GW bar proper hates football fans so I dunno why you want to hold it there. Got turned away for not being 'a regular' about 2 years ago and never been back. Its a boring bar, but the doormen there seem to thing its china white. Just get pissed off being treated like shit. Dont really like Walkabout either. Its a disgrace they didnt show the Swindon PO games live. Hope to see you there then. I'll be the mouthy northern git. Quote One very small point though, not sure about the venue. That GW bar proper hates football fans so I dunno why you want to hold it there. Not experienced that myself, I must say - we've held a couple of meetings there and they've always been all right with us. The main reasons for the GW as a venue are: 1) It's spacious if we get loads of people but flexible in that you can just take over one corner if you get less (we have no idea how many will come tomorrow) 2) It's free Take what you say about the doormen, but that's just doormen isn't it? Bouncers is as bouncers does - there aren't many you'd invite home to meet the mother-in-law are there? (Cue stack of outraged replies from perfectly nice bouncers) Title: Fans' open meeting: Mon 10th 7.30 GW bar Post by: Whits on Sunday, October 9, 2005, 20:53:33 i may well be making a trip down. depends what time i can get out of work

You are legally allowed to go into any pub in the country, unaccompanied from the age of 14 , Tails. As long as you don't buy, or drink alcohol. You'll be fine. Alternatively get your Dad to buy you a beer and we won't notice.
