Doesn't mean that Sandy Gray has gone - it means Devlin has taken up a more senior position to her.  In some ways, could be a good thing.  Gray must have some talents - and book-keeping is something the club could do with at the moment.  Devlin coming back is a huge boon.

Just got an official text confirming it as well:

Says he's come in to deal with press and public relations. Interesting move - shows how aware they are that Sandy Gray just isn't capable of doing that.

He will work alongside current Chief Executive Sandy Gray, who is running the club on a day to day basis, to push the club forward in a new direction.

Non executive Associate Deputy Chairman?Doesn't sound as though he'll be making any decisions does it.

He cannot be chief executive as Sandy Gray already holds the role, therefore they've made up a roll but really he's going to be handling all the worries of a chief executive, from where im standing.. Gray will be doing the finances and Devlin will be concentrating on the football side, ie generating funds for the manager AND getting the fans back through the turnstyles.

Also the press too - thank god.

A real boost for all at the club, thank God he'll be doing the Media and PR stuff. His jobtitle sounds crap but I think it's safe to assume he'll be taking on a great deal of responsibility.

whatever anyone thinks of devlin (ticket prices, parkin's clause and the word "best" and "endeavour" are what spring to mind whenever i see his name!) at least we've got someone upstairs who knows a bit about football!

Devlin is going to do the fan's forum...which is only right and proper....SG would not have been up to it.

Just dont put the prices up next year Devlin!

Indeed he didn't stutter once, no lithp, was very articulate and in general seemed possitive.
