Pretty sure this is the wrong topic to post this in but I'll let the mods deal with moving it and apologise in advance if it is.

We're doing a collection for the Red Army Fund before the game on Sat. I know a lot of people would perhaps rather we were doing other stuff but the club have only given us two dates to collect on before the transfer window opens in Jan so we've got to make the most of them. So given we've only got two slots, we need all the help we can get to make the most of them (the other one's before the Barnsely game in November by the way), so if you can spare some time before the game to help wave a bucket at people, it'd be much appreciated.

Oh, and apologies in advance for failing to respond to any replies to this - I'm going to be all over the country till Monday (be at the CG Sat obviously) so may not get much chance to hit the PC and see forums before then. So sorry if you post a response to this and I don't reply.

Apparently because of conflicts (ie date clashes not actual fisticuffs - I can't see us getting into a ruck with the British Legion poppy guys!) with other groups wanting to do collections, and possible security concerns from the safety officer for some games (I assume this refers to us asking to collect before the SlaveTraders game). As to how this reflects on their mental state, I leave you to judge for yourselves. We're just grateful to have any collection dates at all!

I bet he doesn't and to be fair I wouldn't have been able to resist the temptation either if it was him who'd made such a tempting target of himself!

i put in all my change which was probably about £1.50 i saw £10 and £5 notes in the bucket though!

Which, to be fair, I think anyone would regard as being an essential. Cheers to all who did chuck some dosh in - it all helps.

And a special mention to SSW who bunged some cash in with a big grin - surely if anyone can be said to have given enough already, it has to be SSW!!! :)
