Our innocent hero gets introduced into the dancing by his father...without realising the pent up passion especially in the women's section. Title: inspire me Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 21:42:56 nah it's for film, i've got to come up with an idea and write a synopsis for it then storyboard the intro, script an excerpt and probably some more stuff.
i might just do the morris dancing one because i've got fuck all other ideas!! Title: inspire me Post by: Tails on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 21:45:17 I like doing storyboards but I can't draw for shit. Have you got a specific audience or anything? Not sure how many people would be interested in Morris dancing....
Title: inspire me Post by: Bob's Orange on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 21:45:33 What about porn of the dead? Pretty sure zombie sex is a subject untouched by human filmmakers.
Title: inspire me Post by: sonicyouth on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 21:46:47 I can't draw either, I'm hoping I can just script it and not have to do a storyboard because I can't even draw stick people properly.
No target audience, we've just got to come up with an idea - however shite it is 8) Porn of the Dead sounds good, I bet it's been made though! http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=porn+of+the+dead&btnG=Google+Search&meta= Title: inspire me Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 21:54:21 Of course you could do the Morris thing in terms of racism in middle England...a bit like a Ken Loach....throw in a scouse union convenor (Ricky Tomlinson)...who's going to Ruskin...who falls in love with the Muslim daughter of the local Indian restaurant owner....who also happens to be really good at cricket...but can't a game because of the Morris tradition of burning a wickerman of a Bangladeshi leg spin bowler, every autumn.
Love overcomes all obstacles and our heroine gets to ride on the open topped bus tour, when England women reclaim the Ashes....closing scene set to David Bowie's..... Ashes to Ashes. So that's why Bangladesh only brought slow left armers over here rather than leg-spinners Title: inspire me Post by: Ben Wah Balls on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 21:58:49 The Thames floods and the whole of England is a flood plain. The only way anyone can survive is on a massive barge. The inhabitants of the barge slowly descend into anarchy. Many are thrown overboard. Over time the barge people try to rebuild their lives, new friends are made. A barge football tournament is organised. The film explores the way the peoples lives change pre and post flood and the complex way in which their lives interact. There is also a romantic factor between the leader of the barge people, a former boxer and the daughter of a millionaire businessman whose lives are thrown together in tragedy.
It's a bit like Noah's ark in a way but crossed with lord of the flies. Quote Set in early 1970’s middle England, HOWZAT! portrays the intertwining multicultural society and the problems many encounter because of it in a light-hearted manner. HOWZAT! revolves around a young man who comes from an old-fashioned family in a predominantly middle-class white area, falling in love with a young Bangladeshi girl called Manjula Ahmed (Parminder Nagra). David Watts (Jake Gyllenhaal) originally tries to keep his relationship with Manjula private in case his strict father Richard (James Cromwell) doesn’t approve, due to his outdated and somewhat prejudiced views toward local Indian families who have moved into the area. Following much persuasion and soul-searching, David finally introduces Manjula to his parents and stands up to his father’s racist outlook on life. An avid cricket fan and player, Richard discovers that Manjula’s father and local Indian restaurant owner Imran (Sanjeev Bhaskar) is also a keen cricketer but is unable to play for the village side due to an ancient Whitsun tradition of burning a wicker Bangladeshi leg spinner on May Bank Holiday every year. Subsequent to forming a bond with Imran, Richard defies popular opinion amongst the cricket team and selects Imran for their next game – against local rivals and neighbouring village Aston. Having proved to his son that he has changed his racist and prejudiced views, Richard welcomes David back into his life along with Manjula and the two marry soon after. Imran goes on to takeover as captain of the village cricket team, inspiring them onto a victory at Lord’s in the Village Cricket Cup. Overall, HOWZAT! is intended to poke fun at stereotypes of not only Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi’s living in Britain, but also at the still prevalent middle-class England views that many hold. Whilst doing so, I’d hope that it would remain a light-hearted romantic-comedy and people wouldn’t take it too seriously. It's fucking terrible though :Ride On Fatbury's Lovestick: Title: inspire me Post by: Rossi on Wednesday, September 21, 2005, 23:35:02 I've decided that when I'm old(er) and got nothing better to do, I'm going to write a book, but I duno what on yet

Film - Check Mate. Mike Angelini is a promising football/cricket/rugby player enjoying life. He is on his way to the cup final when he is involved in an accident and loses one of his arms. He becomes majorly(SP) depressed and is on the verge of suicide when suddenly, out of nowhere, he discovers chess and he is actually pretty good at it! Check Mate is the story of one man's struggle overcoming disability and depression to become a master and major star! 'Forget about bend it like beckham, Check it like Mike' **** - The Sun 'Chesst Brilliant' - The Star 'The most intense film about chess I have ever seen' - The Telegraph 'Pawn for all the family, excellent' - Sunday Sport For Eastern European's, this could be set in Prague and called Czech Mate!
