Title: Our ex-players...
Post by: janaage on Monday, September 19, 2005, 16:03:02
..not exactly setting the world alight are they.

Is Howard still injured, or not being selected, Igoe after starting two games for Millwall has disappeared from the first team squad, Hewlett's not in the match day squad either and poor old Sam's not doing so well either.  And finally Smith and Heywood, well we all know what's going on there.

Have they got the STFC curse?!?

I think it just shows how crap some of our ex-players really were, Parkin excluded of course!

I agree got Man City relegated from division one and then again after they were promoted. Got Oldham relegated and not done much at Ipswich, pretty crap to be honest.

I must admit, I've never rated Joe Royle as a manager, over rated.

he's always been a long ball merchant. he's been playing parkin as a target man in a 4-5-1 formation...

was it lincoln that turbo ended up at?

and how about garrard?!

Not forgetting Duke as well!!!

Ex- player NICKY SUMMMERBEE seems to be doing alright for himself

Parkin is being played as a lone striker, he could do that job for us so I dont expect him to do it for Ipswich either.

Joe Royle is an ace manager, I loved it when Everton beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

Yeah and ex player Glenn Hoddle's not done so bad for himself either, I was referring to the players who left a little more recently DV85.

Howard is on the comback trail, presumably running between Esso stations to stock up on Ginsters.

If you were Parkin, would you really want to come back to a club that are 3rd from bottom and struggling badly?  Even if he wasn't getting regular football at Ipswich, I'd rather go to a team that at least have a chance of making promotion

Saw the goal on Sky, a lovely chip from outside the box - oh how we could do with some of that!

Graz has been banging them in for Barnet for the past few years, he's been pretty outstanding there.
